I'm only getting half a sec stutter every 15ish min, guess I'm lucky.
I'd try the game before dismissing it because of what other people say and hopefully we'll see a patch or two to fix the problems. Overall I'm really enjoying the dialog and characters, just got to Moscow.
No it doesn't, even with pad stutter is still there.
Not on 360 wireless pad here
It's a conspiracy !
Well don't count on Michael Thorton to uncover it. Although he is an international superspy, he can't do shit until he clicks +1 +1 +1 a few times in his magic skillz PDA.

Well honestly, i kinda like playing with 360 pad on pc. That means i can sit back in my chair, feet on my desk and play relaxed (wich cant be done with keyboard and mouse)

Same, skips here too. Also I hate motion Blur in games and in this one it can't be turned off for some reason. And I'm not going to bother with ini files. Also graphics are not issue for me I would like to enjoy this one but it has mouse issues.
Nope matey, I turn it off but when I resume the game it's on again. I go to options to turn it off and see it hasn't switched off. I don't know why. I will try again. May be it was a kind of protection trigger at first launch.

I bet you whined about Deus Ex not having pinpoint accuracy with all weapons from the start too, right?
With AA turned on this game looks decent, I don't know why ppl are bitching about gfx, the only gripe for me is the poor animation while the main character is moving. Too bad there are no dialog options and shadows for npcs when AA is forced on (gf 8800gt) and it's starting to piss me off. I will try to mess with settings a bit but it probably won't change anything.
The motion blur effect, when u move and turn camera, is it me or cant the blur keep up (meaning i see some sort of lines around the char with a few mm no blur)
Kinda hard to explain hope someone gets what i mean
I quote myself here with a vid of the problem this time, as u can see its around the whole character as u move and turn.

It wasn't this bad. This feels bad like Conviction bad, like console bad. I never had this feeling in Deus Ex.
And hiding behind the "RPG" is bollocks. RPG = Role Playing Game, not Statistics Make You Shoot 5 Bullets At Once Otherwise You Can't Hit Shit Playing Game.

Is this really necessary? Is there no way to something with the host file?
I think rose-tinted glasses are in effect mate, to be bluntly honest. Go load DE and try to hit something with zero points in pistols, or watch the sniper rifle sway all over the screen as if you're running whilst aiming. But of course nobody will do that, because it's easier to just jump on the "it's on CONSOLES!!!111 *hissssss* SHIT CONSOLE SHIT!!!" hate-wagon
Yup, stuttering here too, really damn annoying.
Also, they so totally could have used wasd + arrows for the hacking minigame, why the hell would they use mouse controls?
Same goes for PDA, what, have they never seen how esc and enter usually work in computer games? Some of the choices they made for the pc version when it comes to interface controls are really, really dumb.
But once we get past that - it's a great game. Choices are pretty cool and it's nice that so many of them have a lasting impact on the story. I like the character leveling and many ways you can complete missions and actually get a certain reputation based on how you complete them. Graphics are also fine for me, not as rough as I thought they would be.
Luckily, I can avoid it most of the time. As long as frame rate stays around 60, issue doesn't happen when moving mouse normally (or at least isn't notecable).
But it still happens when game needs to load something from HDD (then camera "twitches" in some direction for fraction of moment, really annoying).
Is it fun and easy to play as a melee character. And stealth etc ?
Or is is hard and/or annoying ?
in the start a little annoying but im playing that way, now with points in melee skills, its awesome, i have a passive skill when they see me , they dont really see me for another 2 seconds, plenty time to hide again, etc... i dont fire a weapon. its really awesome.
The stealth aspect is definitely great, once you level up a bit. I've only orphaned (lol what a weird stat that is) a few kids so far. This is perhaps a bit blasphemous, but I get the same satisfied feeling KOing a guard like I did in Thief
I'd like some informed advice - I just started playing and should I save money for later, or is the current set of armor/guns in the clearinghouse all I'm ever going to be able to buy
Ty
ps is it possible to holster all guns, when I melee the gun just disappears for a few seconds, it bugs me
How the fuck do I pass the Agent Darcy's training challenge(the one with gadgets)? I'm in a hall with 2 enemies and nothing else to do, I can't even progress because of it.
