Anyone got cheating in poker right? "Keep it centered" or whatever it says. Am I just supposed to just LS and keep the arrow centered? Because I've been caught cheating several times within a couple seconds.

try zooming in, if you have zoomed out you will only se the most important thing, i tried to zoom in and alot more thigs showed up Smile

How much of the game can you play without doing the story? I like to just sandbox it up and do the story at my own pace. Is it like GTA where most the area and weapons are locked off until you progress in the story or can I just go free roaming right away? I am sure there is a small starting thing you are forced to do to learn the game.

damn i hate how strict the time limits are.. i met a guy and it said pay him $200 or kill him.. so i wanted to be a nice guy and pay.. so i open my menu to see how much cash i have.. $70.. so i figure ill come back later with the cash but as soon as i close the menu he shoots at me and i have no choice but to kill him and be a bad guy Sad

Can anyone kill a person in a fist fight with just your fists?
I can seem to do it and they always get back up and fight me again forever.
it is so anoying and its making me mad.
Has anyone expierienced this?????
If it is suposed to be like this then i will not play red dead redemption because it sucks!

Oh well. Tuesday came come soon enough. Stupid 360 owners.... not like I wanted to play anyway...I'm sure its not even fun shooting bears ;_;

i did first few missions and then went on exploring the world. was getting robbed, picked flowers, followed various paths, helped people, looked for treasures, killed bandits, was hunting for bounty, etc. etc. that's about 3 hours of gameplay without doing any main missions right there.

btw, anyone figured out how to capture people alive when bounty hunting? i tried coming up close to them waiting for some button to work but nothing.

As previously stated, you get a lasso in one of the early missions in the game, that's what you need.

punching someone 3 times won't kill them and it fits in with the barfights , guessing their health regenerates when there on the ground too Razz

So they will always stand up and come after you again till you finally shoot them?
I like to have my options but if i have to shoot them to make them stop comming after me then that sucks.

You could try to hook it up to a monitor. But that's about it.
I know it sucks though, I remember having the same problem with GTA IV, when I was plaiyng on a SDTV.

So ya, game is pimp. Someone said the dialog was good, I completely agree, really sets that mood, i also love the little animations that kick in when you stand around "damn flies on mah neck".

The only gripe i really have is that the camera distance while riding on the horse cant be changed (or at least not that I know of). I'd like to have it just a little bit closer. All we get is the cam pan left or right, correct?
