That's just... retarded. I mean, when Michael Clarke Duncan was cast as Kingpin that was just fine since the character could've as easily been black in the comics too. But this is just bullshit, no matter what the reasoning behind the casting is.

Funny this topic is hear.....there was car bomb delivered over nite right in the centre of Times Square in NYC. Propane, gas, fireworks but no shrapnel. Amateur shit CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company) said.
Luckily it didn't explode like it was supposed to last nite. With all the traffic, theatre crowd, club crowd, tourists etc.
They think (well, a guy on CBC anyway) it was a response to that South Park thing as Viacom (ppl who run CC) was right there and it would have done serious damage to the building.
They don't have any leads according to the NYPD and shit but I'm guessing they aren't saying....for those who have been to NYC, you know how many camera's are in NYC, let alone at Times Square....hundreds if not thousands...not including store cameras and shit.
I don't see the big deal making fun of the Prophet. Hell, ppl make fun of Jesus all the time and Moses and the Christians and Jews don't go ape shit over a cartoon....whats with the cartoon hating?

We had a dedicated thread for this but well it fit's here though, but I don't think that it was the original posters intention to talk about this theme 
I think that a lot of the people who go ape shit do it because they already feel themselves treated like second class people. And they do it definitely because of a wrong feel to "protect" whats sacred. At the end this is just satire. I hate it when people really just post stuff or publish stuff to insult others believes (how ridiculous they might sound to yourself) but I don't have a problem if someone shows his criticism in this manner.

Man, religion is a neuirological disorder imo. We are smart enough now to know that the stars aren't Gods, no space gods have ever come to earth...its all mythology.
Take the Pope. He visited the Shroud of Turin. It was proven that the thing is not jesus's shroud....just some cloth with blood stains....hell, alot of christians think its the Virigin Mary and the Holy Spirit left the imprint on it....

Once we do away with religion, this world will be a better place. Organized religion I mean.
I have idea's about the afterlife, I believe in numerous God's, but fuck if I know if I'm right. I don't preach or tell ppl they are infidels or going to hell cuz they don't worship Diana or whomever.
Personally, I could care less what ppl believe in. As long as it doesn't affect me. And its funny as right now, basically the 'war on terror' is essentially a religious war.
Who cares if Jesus did this or Mohammed did that....fuck, believe whatever you want.
Its all the same god. Even in my 'belief system'. There's the Goddess and God but there is also the Supreme Deity type thing, The One as its sometimes referred to.
I dunno....religion is a plague in this day in age. 1500 years ago, I can see why it was needed...but now, in modern society...it should be personal...tear down religious institutions and lets evolve is what I say.

You can be Christian and believe in evolution. After all if god created earth and the creatures on it then anything evolved from them would be his creation in a sense.

Religion has helped in our evolution.
My point is that we are beyond believing that the stars are gods or that the son of god died 2000 years ago.
I have no problem with someone saying they believe in whatever religion as mythology and as something that comforts them. Thats fine. Believe in Christ, Allah, Moses etc makes no difference. But when ppl start taking the Bible, Koran, Torah/Talmud literally, that's what pisses me right off.
Lets be honest, you don't know what happens after you die, I don't know, no one knows. if you know, your dead.
U know who really gets under my skin? Creationists....sickening....how someone can dismiss empirical scientific data and logic is just astoundingly ridiculous.
I have a buddy who is a Born Again and his uncle is one of those guys who 'casts demons out' of ppl like evangelists do on TV. And he swears that he's seen his uncle make some crippled woman walk.
I tried to explain its a fuckin hoax, got into a big argument etc Now we don't discuss religion.
And when ppl bring up religion when we are out at a bar or party, he says 'Raine doesn't believe in God'....because if you don't believe in Christ, you don't believe in God or your wrong. So we don't discuss religion lol
