Plenty of people in Sweden are stuck on 24mbit, and more people are using crappy mobile internet nowadays, dropping housebound high speed stuff.

Some Swedes actually think south-east Norwegians are easier to understand than people from Skåne. When thats said some Swedes are probably easier to understand than people from Bergen, LOL!

Then I advise you not to grab an issue of the c't where they've got an article on the state of broadband internet in Germany, why it's sucky and why it's gonna stay that way.
Way too depressing. |
well, i cant really complain, because in the bigger urban areas it is indeed possible to get decent speeds (16mbit or above), but from what i ve read a lot of the smaller to middle businesses in the rural areas are really impaired by the state of teh intarwebs in the country-side.
As always, hope for the best, plan for the worst

Of course you can get decent speeds. But most of the time it's gonna cost you.
And I really _love_ the arguments they bring why they are not switching to glass fibre (not cost efficient and yet better not needed. wtf?)
By now it would take us about 10 years to catch up, if they keep messing it up it'll be even longer and sooner or later you'll see a decrease in IT businesses - would you put up with shitty speed if you could aswell switch your location to say Netherlands/ Sweden /Norway?
Then you'll see politicans cry again

the politicians are to busy trying to censor the internet. It is understandable that they want to slow it down, to make that easier for them

I think that is ok because you can't download child porn so fast. And it will take you longer to download the album of the new DSDS winner, thus making more profit and all this profit will revive our german markets!
