Firstly, please keep the completely Random Apple hate out of this thread. I don't mind on topic hate, but completely random bullshit isn't welcome.
ANYWAY.
Lots been going on over the past few days... I shall summarise:
- Apple stop any personal holidays for employees in June (Link)
- iPhone 4 phone was lost at a bar in CA a week ago
- A number of sites pick up story (Link)
- Gizmodo pay $5k for the phone (Link)
- People scream fake
- Gizmodo discover that iPhone 4 was actually in shot in earlier released pic of iPad (Link)
- Gizmodo start releasing details, pictures, etc. (Link, Link)
- Gizmodo contact phone owner (an Apple SW engineer) (Link)
- Apple get wind, send letter to Gizmodo requesting phone returned - Gizmodo comply (Link)
So, here are the iPhone 4 features:

- Front-facing video chat camera
- Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS)
- Camera flash
- Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)
- Improved display. It's unclear if it's the 960x460 display thrown around before -- it certainly looks like it, with the "Connect to iTunes" screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
- What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack
- Split buttons for volume
- Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic
And finally, here is the new iPhone - expected release June 2010:
My thoughts? Big fuck up for Apple - they love keeping this sort of shit secret. Let's just hope they don't treat the employee that lost it too badly. I hope that now people know what it looks like, they won't go and redesign it and thus it gets pushed back past a June release. As for the design, at first I thought it was the ugz. I still believe it may be a prototype which doesn't represent the final design. However, i'm now warming to it, and it being slightly smaller is a good thing indeed. Features are perfect, I like! I will be getting one.

To be honest I like my android phone more (I admit I have only played about with an iPhone), but I can understand the love for the iPhone, I am considering one when my contract comes up for renewal, but I am also looking at some of the latest android handsets
