and stardust
all are decent movies
zombieland was shit
kick ass has everything going well for it.
so it's going to be amazing
if watchmen was like 3 on your rating out of 10

Defendor - 7/10 - entertaining movie with a geat Woody Harrelson as usual. Could've used more humor, would've made the movie much better.
14 blades - 6.5/10 - good enough I guess, can't even come close to Ip Man though. I watched some Donnie Yen movies after seeing Ip Man. While he's obviously a kungfu king, his movies are average. Not counting Ip Man of course.

I just saw Kick-Ass, what a disappointment it was. It doesn't live up to it's hype. I'll cut this movie in two parts, "kick-ass" and "hit-girl", so I won't do one of the best things created in Hollywood injustice.
First the crappy part, the major part, the part that gave the movie it's name, "Kick-Ass". Crappy teen drama, doofus wannabee superhero parts with childish humor, boredom. That's what I thought when I was watching most of the movie, crappy movie trying to be silly and fun. Which it failed.
But then, sha-bam the "Hit-Girl" parts. Pure brilliance. Brilliant actress, great action scenes, fun every second and the girl is simply raw. Hit-girl is one of the greatest things created in Hollywood (yes I know it's based on a comic).
So, Kick-ass part gets a 4/10 for being boring and completely uninsteresting. The Hit-girl/Big daddy parts get a 9.5/10, for being brilliant. The movie itself I can't give more than a 6/10 for being enjoyable but ruined by the the Kick-Ass character. I can only imagine how great this movie would've been if it was about Hit-Girl, would've been an instant cult classic. What a fucking shame.

unlikely... theyll just tweak the age of the character, and viewers wont give a shit anyway, because continuity of the actors and actresses have always been more important than character ages.
i mean shit, harry potter... theyre all like 20+ by now or some shit arent they?

Great movie. Even excellent. Why 7/10, you ask?
Mostly because the story is pretty "standard" (although i love Romero zombie movies, and this remake is also great) and there is nothing to surprise.

Have to disagree.
The "crappy teen drama" parts reminded me a lot of the girl next door. Very witty, and down to earth characters. The main character was exactly what he needed to be. Someone to relate to in all the complete insanity.
Obviously Hit Girl steals the show, but overall, a well put together, laugh out loud bloodfest.

Cop Out 7/10. Was pretty entertaining and though I like Kevin Smith a lot, he shouldn't direct any more action movies.
Ninja Assassin 5.5/10. Started with 7/10 but went downhill from there  Very gory, though waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much CGI blood Everything was so dark that you could barely see any of the action and the plot was just utterly crap.
