You can't improve people. The only flaw in here is the people. Some are willing to be communicative and understanding while others aren't.
Some topics people are shunned away from and won’t talk. Some can’t talk about certain things. People are also easily irritated or frustrated so swearing and cursing and angry behavior is normal. If everyone constantly pretended to be nice. To only show one appropriate emotion. This forum would become boring quickly.
Only thing, I think, what would make a great improvement… would be a sarcasm tag or something. Some people can’t get sarcasm as it’s easier to read through vocal patterns and not through text. Some may get it, some may not. It can get quite awkward. And embarrassing for some.
The only problem here is a problem that can be fixed only if admins went on a banning spree and just banned every single member here. That obviously will never happen.

Some talk hit the team section a few days ago about "over moderating".. For example the Gothic 3 incident and how we closed about 50 threads and banned about 100 people.. removed posts.. etc..
My point being, is the moderating harsh, because increasing its harshness could get rid of the "user problem" lol.. Would being LESS harsh help? maybe cause less tension?

It would not be difficult mein fรผhrer some over moderation could... I'm sorry sYn over moderation could provide some stability here almost indefinitely. |

I, for one, would love to see a lot more harshness.
I would love to see more temp bans too.
If a long time user did something that deserved a ban or a temp ban I‘d love to see them get it and not get off free. Y’know? I’ve done and said things that I thought deserved a ban.
And I didn’t get one. 
It would mean a lot of bans and the forums would get quiet and people would be afraid to speak their minds. Which would really suck. But it would make this place a lot calmer. And incredibly boring.
The way the moderation is now, is absolutely fine. Things that should be taken care of are taken care of. Some quicker than others. More mods/admins would be better though.

Not much has changed with the good ole` forum, people still insulting each other, but very few manage to really leave (and most come back after some time of absence). Must be something good after all.  |

I don't even remember this thread, but I wasn't that active back then and definitely didn't know half of the people here enough to dare insult most people.
