Agreed, before I had a car things seemed that way.
Having a "nice" car means :
£150-200 insurance per month.
If used regularly, £30-40 petrol per WEEK
Tax anything from £30(?) or £200+ every 6 months
Over a yearly period with those calculations:
£3k roughly per year.
If you own the car on finance maybe even 6-7K a year.

I saw the billboard at the gas station last night: €1,46 a liter. Earlier this week I read in the papers that petrol prices may reach €2 a liter sometime this year.
Now I hope Ahmadinejad won't launch the A bomb, or prices might triple.

I dont have a car atm cos I never have to drive anywhere, but last year I had a mid-range/spec Nissan 350z 3.4L and insurance was £220 a/mo : [
Dont forget UK insurance goes by the size of engine/power and car value rather than the rest of the worlds versions.
But paying £220 a/mo when it moved about 10 miles a month was pretty pointless

My brother and I have long campaigned for delivery from McDonalds in the uk, however if they did do that I have no doubt I would never cook again.
It may be shit food, by damn its tasty.

If McDonald's did home deliveries half the population would balloon even faster.

Spring is here, so the biker dudes crawl out of their caves. Just be careful... a biker's probability to be killed in traffic appears to be 25 times higher than a car driver's.
20 dead bikers is not uncommon for the first sunny spring weekend in Holland. Still less than the bodycount the Prius has racked up so far.

They do look gay. Why not get something that looks good and is fuel efficient?
I've decided I am getting one of these sometime this year.. but maybe in a different colour. Looks good (imo) and is only about 10mpg off the Toyota you mentioned, and it has 150bhp.

awful awful car dude. My mate has one. Its like a go kart..
If you want that get a VW polo or golf. Most reliable and efficient cars which are still awesome to drive. Aygo drives like a 3 legged cat running on a tred mill
