So I haven't played MW2 for a long time, but tonight I had nothing better to do, so I fired it up, and to my surprise, i'm having FPS issues..

Last time I played it, I had zero problems, the only thing I know I've done since is to update my GPU drivers. So I rolled back my drivers, and that didn't help though.

Doesn't matter if im playing MP or SP (thought it was a network issue first, but it isn't).

Any tips here? :/

Specs:

W7 x64

Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc

Hmm this is strange. What kind of lagging? Low FPS or there is a delay in mouse response? Are you sure you haven't forced some AA and/or AF in the nV control panel?

AA/AF is set to Application controlled, and the graphics settings in the game are untouched.

The lag is just low FPS, choppy. You know the first level, when you stand infront of the soldiers in the camp, it really lags alot, but it gets better as soon as I turn around and look down the shooting range (almost no detailed models).

This is really strange because this game has really low requirements and should not be lagging even on a 8800GT. :\ Try using older drivers...

Fixed it, installed an even older driver (January), rebooted and now it works Smile
