Wicked, definately going to try this... it looks good, I love stealth, even if it's 100% linear...!

infact, i think i prefer linear, allows the devs to concentrate getting the experience perfect for you every time.

When does it officially come out in the shops? I'm superstitious about playing games early.

Thanks.

Burning now, I won't bother installing to HDD just yet though. I'll play from disk for a little and see if I like it or not.

You got it man =)

I've been really looking forward to this! It's all well and good having tons of RPGs to choose from, but sometimes I just want a good scripted FPS (I absolutely LOVED the campaign in BFBC2). This one sounds and looks great from what we've seen so far.

=Edit=

Change of plans. I'll play it tomorrow, too fucking fed up of getting shit all the time..heading to bed.

As far as i know, a 3rd party makes SS v2. Most lattest games i got had SS v1 on them then manualy patch them for v2.

Just started playing and so far I like it. Nice cinematic feel and atmosphere. Controls, GFX and sound design seem pretty good.

Well two hours into the game and I can't really add anything to the existing reviews/previews. It's very atmospheric (even more than Stalker sometimes) but all that amount of detail is gone to waste because it's only a background for a very sped up story. Would've made a great long open world experience (maybe it was even designed like that initially) but we have a quick rollercoaster ride instead, as you already know.

Another little complaint is that aiming is not as polished as in AAA class console shooters - it hasn't got even the slightest aim assist. Imagine a PC-oriented game with a controller instead of a mouse. No, I mean I also turn aim assist off in console shooters but the secret is that there's still A BIT of aim assist left - just enough to make the experience fun and not frustrating. In Metro 2033 'honest' russian comrades removed it totally leaving enemies as fast and agile as in some other games, so you need some time to get accustomed to it.

Otherwise it's the best looking ex-USSR game to date after TimeShift.
