Its either Serenity or from the series Firefly. Which Serenity is based on.
If you have seen neither then gogo and watch first the series and then the movie! You wont regret!

Yea it was a good show. If you are going to watch it, make sure you watch the episodes in the proper order and not in the order in which they were broadcast.

How the fuck did SciFi (or now SyFy) did not purchase the rights dirt cheap from Fox and continue the show is beyond me. They air so much garbage (like Farscape, 3 x Stargate, etc.), some quality would not go unnoticed (like BSG, Caprica).

It just wasn't popular enough. And the reason the other garbage shows keep getting made is that the fanbase of those shows just doesn't care about quality anymore. They would rather have more of the stuff they know (even though it's become shit like Stargate Universe, Star Trek, Clone Wars, etc) than try something new.

Hey, still better than german TV. Original shows are crap and those they copy from the us market are even worse.
So only thing that I can do is watch american television shows

Right. I am surprised Battlestar Galactica was allowed to continue for as long as it did, enough to finish an amazing story from start to finish with little intervention from SciFi (they were responsible for the influx of standalone episodes of season 3, but as has been said, even an episode about the extras on Galactica would have been much better than any of the Stargate bullshit combined).
I fear for the future of Caprica, though... |

hmm I liked Farscape btw
refreshing to see an Australian serie and actors (only 1 US actor)
lots of humour in it
but yeah these days it is not about quality but about ratings
most series have a spectacular openings episode, lots of (soap) garbage in between and a great open ending episode each season

I agree. Farscape was a lot of fun. I actually didnt find BSG that interesting, this version or the one from the 70's.
