I was listening to the radio few days ago, and heard a couple of songs from their new album: Backspacer. I didn't listen to them before tbh, and I was really surprised! I loved this album. The songs vary form rock to kinda Simon and Garfunkel style (Just Breathe). The album itself is kinda short -about 30 minutes total, but the songs are very 'listenable'. I would describe them as: the kinda music you can listen in your car while on a short trip to somewhere.

trash and speed metal - I think of Sweden actually
They are a melo-death band which is unusual for American bands, the majority of American bands go down the Metalcore road that always sounds the same, and it doesn't require half the degree of skill to play, plus most Swedish melo-death bands create songs that have an extremely complex musical structure, Darkest Hour really sound like their from sweden

Crust gods with old remasterd material. One favourite is when crashmange from sweden call them drunk and tell them what he wants to do with them. They made a song if it called scandinavia doorbreaker. 5/5
