I don't know who's really the 3rd world..
S.dev's salaries here (especially the first 2-3 years) are around 1.100-1200€ while a 50-60 m^2 apartment could cost even 1000 euro ( in big cities like Milan or Rome)
If you add to this that the actual government leaded by Mafia's man Berlusconi isn't actually doing anything except its own, corrupt business, than you'll understand the roots of my rage.

Also as a student I pay about the same rent in Sweden that I would pay in Bulgaria. Go figure.
The net is a bit more expensive though.

I've lived in a 50m^2 apartment for three years (as a student) in a small town around here and I payed 800€/month.
But probably it will be 1000€ now...

Well it's mostly accurate, while downloading AvP3 i got around 4MB/s download and 8MB/s upload, ofcorse it's not guaranteed, but usually 90%+ of the time it's around full 12MB/s
my ping in WoW was around 150ms

I didn't want T-Scum so I switched to Iskon (which is T-Scums sister firm -.-), but since 7 km from centre of the capital is obviously considered rural area in Cro, I have no choice but to use T-Scums network (your central is too old excuse... THEN UPGRADE IT STUPID MOFOs!!!)
Meanwhile my uni has light speed internet because we are part of GEANT network - for science facilities... god I hate them so much
