AFAIK the new seasons always started in January/February, so it was always at least half a year of waiting, sometimes even more (with the writers strike and so on).
I also hope there will be a recap episode, but I am very sure there will be, as every season had one until now, and furthermore this is the most important season, so they surely don't want anybody to miss out on it.

well its like this the bast fixed the time line but it created two time lines that bleed to each other ,
now they show the time thats fixed (back on the island with fixed time abnormalities) and the time thats "what IF" in the other time line (they didn't crash)
thats why the water was brown
in other words your lost
