And why didn't you show the wall? You know, the one where your copy has magical new textures mine is lacking? Cool Face

Heh, everything looks better at night Very Happy Why do you think most scifi films are shot in the dark? It's not to increase tension, but to distract you from the shitty CGI and models Laughing

You can use trainer to lock time, but that will fuck most missions.

The conclusion is that I provide proof for everything say, everyone else just mouths off. Here are my settings and, as I said, I'm using Ultimate Tweak as it adds DOF/M.Blur and attempts to smooth the shadows into something less than the clusterfuck of the originals.

That's not really recommended due to that 1.0004 (Or Patch #5) is one of those that recompiles the shader data, you're running older shader files by replacing them with the ones from that mod. Smile

This should work though as it just patches the shaders.

EDIT: That said texture resolution and shadow "sharpness" is a bit low and the pedestrians are quite blocky (Facial animations are quite funny as well especially if you scare one by pulling a gun or similar in their face.)

ENB helps but it does hit performance and it has to be tweaked for brightness and many other variables.

(EDIT: Obviously though the most noticeable thing is the "aliasing")

My Game recommends me these settings:
High High Very High High High 26 51 31 4
Best I reach is 20fps, which would almost be ok, if it would stay there. Fast driving with a car makes it dip ALOT und camera panning aint ok either...

commandline.txt doesnt work here, why is that ? or at least -windowed doesnt work

Back then when I had a P4 3.0ghz pc with hd 4650 agp I could play it on detail distance @1 and all the things on high with 14 fps, it was more than enough. So that's probably one of the most well optimized games of the last year considering the compute power hungry euphoria animation engine.

Fail. SW-TFU used Euphoria and that ran locked at 30fps at all times, never deviated, never dropped.

Yes, because SW features large, open world environment, with no loading screens, lots of NPCs each powered by Euphoria physics, with the ability to use every vehicle you see...

Oh wait

Try to run SW TFU on p4 3.0 ghz then. You will get half as much fps even tough sw had no too much pedestrians, cars etc.

No loading screens? In GTA4? Yeah, right mate, whatever you say. Is that another magical feature like additional textures not present in other people's games?

Yes, GTA IV has no loading screens(besides the main one) unless you decide to go on a mission.

@ Neon don't take this sabrina guy seriously, he is just being the usual undercover troll. His ethos is an error of humankind, 'I am always right, I can't stand different opinions' etc.

there is loading screens but only if u manually load
all this time it was unoptimized pos but for me with my current setup it runs pretty smooth no lags, everything on high @1680 except for txt's and shadows on medium and the rest is 10-10-10, it still an ugly mozefaka but it loox better than 360 version and runs better too, i get 50-60 fps during the night even in heavy rain
i'm running somekinda repack made by russkies with integrated crack without any recent updates

I can't believe I'm going to say this.... *takes a deep breath* The game isn't so bad when you turn FRAPS off so you can't see the horrid framerate counter out the corner of your eye, like a splinter stuck in your brain. As long as it's smooth, without hitching and stuttering, then 25-35 is "ok"

Urgh, that tasted sour.

Got everything on High, 25% sliders and definition turned "off" because I'm using JB's awesome updated shader patch (speed blur and depth of field, like it does in Crysis, really helps mask the framerate sometimes) and it's "ok" Not ideal by any means, but more than playable.

I really need to go take a shower right now, because I feel dirty having said that Sad
