This isn't Assassins Creed 2, and if it were, you should be asking "does Rome work?"

Great. So all my earlier complaints have been proven correct. Awesome. I am SO glad I didn't pay for this steaming pile of streamlined console trash.
Pirate it? GLADLY, with fucking pleasure.

/Shrug. Anyone who played ME1 is not really going to be surprised.
Inventory system is gone. Which I can't say I care about cause it was crap on the Xbox and slightly less crap on the PC. If this was BG 2 I might be concerned otherwise, meh.
Skill System Streamlined, again, I played ME1. Several skills were underwhelming, almost useless. Not gonna miss um.
I am not sure what they did to the weapon system, but meh.
The gameplay in ME 1 was completely underwhelming. What made it great was the package. I know I didn't play Uncharted 2 for the gunplay, and the same can be said for ME. I played Dragon Age (PC version, mind you) for a throwback to the good old days. I play PS:T and BG 2 for their awesomeness.
I am playing ME2 cause I have to. ME1 has me hooked to this world.

Excuse me? Oh, you meant "Any brainless cock who whined about ME1 being too complex for their puny little brain" right? Because it sure as hell doesn't apply to PC gamers who universally loved the first game.

Weeeell not really, the combat was nothing special in the first one. What kept me, and most others i guess, going was the epic storyline. So i'm happy if the gunplay is better in this one.

You do have to admit, a lot of skills were useless, but that did not mean I only wanted 7 skills.

Not really. ME1 was as simplistic a game as you could find. EDIT: The gameplay side.
Like I said, the gameplay was underwhelming. The Customization/progression choices were meh, the gunplay was clunky and the loot system was boring.
The game was still great.
This is why the game being allegedly 'stripped down' does not really bother me.
In fact a while they may have gone too far, some of the taking out caused me to cheer. Case in Point: The removal of the Mako. Hear Hear.!

Loot system in ME1 was probably the worse of any game I played, but overall ME1 was a great game.

Well it doesn't bother me, because I saved myself €50 by *not* buying it. ME1 had little RPG implementation as it was, but to remove it completely and turn it into another brainless shooter? No thanks, I'll just pirate it and laugh at the suckers who swallow all the dumbed-down, simplified, shit they get shovelled.

ME1 was barely an RPG, imo. Seemed to me that levels and items were only there in a novelty fashion. Throw on the latest drops, and distrubute your points without any real consideration necessary. Dumb down these elements even more, or remove them altogether for all I care. So long as the atmosphere, immersion and plot stay up to par, I'm happy.

ME1 was a linear shooter as far as the levels were concerned.
