format your harddisk, run prime95 and check how your computer is doing. install solaris to see that it is not hardware related. after that do a two week memtest. Reinstall windows and firefox.

Well, I called yesterday to the ISP tech support to protest the short DHCP leases I was getting yesterday. I specifically told them I don't want generic responses.
Get this, the retard actually told me to restart all my PCs at the house, to disconnect the modem from the wall and in the mean time, reset my router settings!
All this shit because of server-side issues. Laughing
It took me cursing the idiot to get to an "advanced tech support" guy, which told me it was their servers acting up strange. Laughing

wow, this happens so often here too. These fuckers are so arrogant.. You try to explain that you already know this and that. And they just keep repeating the same BS. Like when we where sat up from 5mbit to 20mbit on the same fucking line ofc. The damn idiot talked about sending a guy to install it. Im like... ehh, we already got a router, we got from YOU, and im pretty sure its just some few clicks for you guys to give us the new BW speed. And well, yeah it was. Even tho he claimed some dude would come, they did their clicks and now iv got 20mbit Very Happy For the same price as 5 Very HappyVery Happy

LMAO ... this reminds me on a day i had to call Kaspersky support.... an antivirus program simply wouldnt run... Their answer was to put a DLL file on the desktop to solve the problem.

Yeah right Sad

After hearing this i was calling the guy names till he hung up ... the fucking wankers letting me pay for service calls like there is no tomorrow and come up with a technican that has less knowhow of computers then two hairs on my ball sack.

Fuck them... i never ever call again !

While many of those tech support people aren't really all that savvy (just working after a guide on problems) they aren't necessarily arrogant because you have no idea how stupid people can be when they call tech support. Many people who call tech support have NO idea what they're doing or what the problem is but many also act as if they know, trying to suggest solutions that has no basis in the real world. They think they know so they make the job harder for the guys on the support line. It can be extremely infuriating, so that's why tech support people generally are very controlling. Once in a while some one with actual knowledge will call but most of the time you'll be dealing with total idiots. Sad

Thats why they invented remote desktop... My customers either accept that I log onto their systems, or they shut up and do as told!!! Simple as that... Though; to be fair Im 3rd level support. Front line support/hotline = total tards!

When I rarely call my ISP, I wait 10-20 sec, and let him/her read my logs of previously calls... Then they allways reply "Okay sir, what do I need to do?"... Of course that bites you in the ass later! One day you wake up; fucked up! Hangover and shit... No net!!! You call them and its you own damn router thats said bye bye.

Fuck I hate error 40!
