I was bored so I thought I'd share my opinion... *SPOILERS*
I thought it was the perfect example of everything that is great and terrible about Quentin Tarantino. There is no denying that he is a brilliant film-maker - he very clearly has put a lot of thought into every single shot in the film, even if a significant amount of them are homages to other works (I really liked the Searcher-esque doorway shot near the start).
Also, although I would prefer a dedicated score from a proper composer, his song choices do tend to blend quite evocatively with the images he creates.
With the exception of Brad Pitt (who does occasionally give solid performances - I'm not a hater ) the acting is superb. I really loved Mélanie Laurent as the Jewish cinema owner, and Christoph Waltz's Hans Landa is destined to become an iconic movie villain. Even Michael Fassbender somehow manages to be compelling despite his character being almost completely pointless.
For some reason, Tarantino thinks that a film loaded with dialogue and very little plot is interesting to watch. Considering the film lasts two and a half hours, nothing much really happens. The bar scene in particular could have been significantly shorter than the 35 minutes that it goes on for. The only relevance was the hankerchief - this could have been dealt with in a matter of minutes and the remainder of the time could have been used to, I don't know, let us find out something about the characters. Instead we get half an hour of people talking endlessly about nothing. Sure it was kind of suspenseful, but seeing as the two characters it mainly involved were extraneous to the plot, it just felt useless. Maybe if it was Aldo Raine in the hot seat, it would have been a little more engaging.
I think the film's biggest undoing, however, was in the fact that they killed Hitler. At that point I just felt cheated, like the last 140 minutes were pointless. It was just Tarantino fantasising. No substance, no dramatic weight. Just a "wouldn't it be cool if..." scenario.
Overall, like I said, he is a talented film-maker - I just wish he would use his talent to make a proper film, not throwaway pieces of fantasy fluff like Inglourious Basterds.
Very frustrating IMO.
Also, 1940's Austin Powers should not have been in there either.

Iron man rocked the first time I saw it. The second time I was shocked that this movie called itself an action movie but had only 3 mentionable action scenes :/

psh
what can i say... charismatic actors are a rarity in hollywood films... so yeah i guess it'd be cool to see him as indy, but eh... indy4 kinda killed the franchise for me. kinda killed it dead, if you know what i mean. i hear theres any indy 5 planned, but its really hard to give it a shit now.

The problem with indy 4 was the studio that aimed for a bunch of kids as target audience.

problem was that george lucas was allowed in the room while the big boys were talking
"...and then...and then MONKEYS! MOONKEEYYYSS"
"oh for shits sake, george i thought we gave you a colouring book to keep you busy..."
"...but i ate'd all my crayons :*("
aaaaaaand so we ended up with fucking monkeys

hehe, have you seen the 70 minutes star wars episode one review?
The guy in there compared the two opening scenes from episode four and one. His conclusion regarding this specific scene was (because of the one from episode four was so brilliant) that george lucas had nothing to do with it

im actually convinced that georgie had fuckall to do with star wars being any good... and judging by the fact star wars is ALL he does, riding on the success of the originals and the fanbase, i suspect he knows it too.
the 2 best films werent directed by him. the dialog has always been fucking dumb, but the original trilogy was lucky enough to have great actors that had fun with it, and thus, so did the viewers.
strip away the great original cast, let george direct, keep the same shitty dialog, and bam... we can see how sucktastic 'nu-wars' was when georges talent is on display.
