eeeeeeehhhhhh/10. roughly translated = 4/10. had a couple of giggles, but family guy should be funnier than this shouldnt it? it was weak and dull for the most part. only really gets that 4 because of tom selleck, who was definately the stand-out in the flick.
brilliant. towards the end that billy is made to look like the complete tit head he is. I recommend everyone watch this, great great docufilm thingy.
Which is completely biased and the guy you follow has shared his disappointment about the depiction saying he's actually a cool guy and they get along very well. Seth Gordon has admitted he twisted the depiction of Billy for dramatic effect. Still a fun doc but a bit marred in that regard.

Yeah I knew it was pretty biased. Still good though. They weren't very subtle with the bias either.
This is, I guess, the only movie that I'm glad that has happy ending. The story is your usual one, but it's packed in a great environment, the CGI was really out of this world (trying to compare Transformers with this one is just not possible).
Spoiler:
Although I immediately asked myself: why didn't he transferred into the Na'vi body right away, after the Sigourney died? When they flew on those dragon-birds things, and the big red one tried to eat them, I just knew that Jake will ride it But I didn't care, the movie rocks

or like Duncan Jones (guy who wrote and directed Moon ) asked :
Why didnt they bomb the shit out of the na'vi from orbit ?
Wait, you say the story is average, yet you rate the movie a 10 ? Sure, it's your opinion, but a lot of the reviews are way way overrated and unrealistic. It's damn pretty alright, but the story has been used before in a different setting. Nothing new, except the CGI part. I'm annoyed and confused as to why people rate it so high on IMDB. I'd give it a solid 8, nothing more, nothing less.

Well the stories of the movies are repeating itself from disney cartoons, but the way the story was told, and the amazing and fantastic settings it is set in make it a 10 in my book. You may choose to dislike my opinion, but that won't change the fact that I truly enjoyed the film...

I really was surprised at this Indie movie. Really enjoyed it quite a bit.
It had some really cool and gory gun fights and some cool characters.
Kinda like a gory Dick Tracy movie or something.
Worth a look see.
7.5/10

i was expecting something .. else , tho not something too serious
5/10 , and that's only cause i like some Russell Mulcahy videos and Tom Jane .
was really entertaining, incredible and amazing to watch... the sheer amount of effort involved, bloody hell.. would have been one hell of an amazing show
but 50 shows of this? the whole 'dying' thing aside, i really dont think he would have been able to do 50 shows of THIS... id find it difficult to imagine even a young guy in his prime, being keen to tackle something this ambitious... wow, woulda been amazing to see the finished performance. he really was a hell of an entertainer. good doco, much more interesting and amazing than i was expecting.
Once 9/10 , the best romantic movie ever
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind would really fall into to that category since it's more dramatic than anything.

The characters resembled cardboard cutouts and might as well have had names like 'Evil Corporate Guy', 'Mean Army Guys', 'Conflicted Hero', 'Good Scientists' and so forth. The story was lacking and predictable although contrary to massive 'empirical' evidence from the real world. I guess a technologically backwards, earth-loving people can get their fairy-tale ending. All they need is Lurve. Speaking of love, the 'emotional interest' part felt a lot like Titanic but all it did here was make the movie drag. I wish Conflicted Hero and Smurfette had knocked boots faster although I half expected them to do it by linking their bio-USB cables.
As for the effects, well they were good but it's not going to 'change the way I watch movies' anytime soon. It was a well-imagined world but even the best psychedelic effects cannot make up for the flaws and that mushy Pocahontas crap in the middle cannot disguise a movie that was in essence just Tansformers on exoplanet. :pukey Hang on a sec, we do have an icon which expresses that emotion and it's blue. Not that one but this
got dragged to this piece of shit by my wife (at least I got to have a few pints over lunch first), it fucking blows my mind how people can watch this emo faggotry and enjoy it.

This has been recommended to me multiple times. Is it really good?

Fuck off, just because a movie makes you 'feel' something does not make it Emo or Gay. Moon is masterfully simple, yet so complicated, both in acting, directing and in the way it keeps you hooked right 'till the end, even though you understood what really happened about half way through. All thanks to Sam's acting, and the way the director plays with the emotions of both the actors and the audience.
