My dad has pretty much everything he wants, can anyone think of something different than the usual socks, cd's, jumpers, dvd's bs around £50? (he already has a couple other presents coming but they are more for the house)

i'm in the same situation...the problem is that my dad is now 60, has no interests at all, is definitely no child at heart and this year i ran out of ideas for expensive booze that i could get him Laughing

any ideas for presents that are generally "compatible" with the old folks? just 2 weeks left and i'm getting desperate Crying or Very sad

restaurant gift certificates are a pretty easy present for old folks, especially somewhere slightly fancy that they wouldn't normally go.

see, that's the problem! when he's not working (or preparing stuff for work), he sits around at home all day and watches tv. and now, getting him a new tv is out of the question.
that's why i'm looking for something nice that doesn't "require" any hobbies or interests Wink
and regarding gifts that relate to his work: he's a teacher. been through every god damn thing that a teacher could somehow use.

oh trust me, i've already thought about that Razz but he doesn't speak russian, so mail-order brides aren't an option and even though i could get some cialis rather easily, i don't want to risk giving him a heart attack. Laughing

My dad likes whisky and collecting it so whenever I run out of ideas I go to and get some special whisky or something depending on my financial situation
