To be honest I expected something worse from some of the reviews around here, but it was really not that bad. Sure, the story was crap and predictable, and seeing EXPLOSIONS for around 20 minuets straight was just tedious.

Inglorious bastards - 3/10
Why would someone make/watch a movie like this? This is the kind of crap people dream up in hypothetical games like what they would do if they could travel back in time. This is just some sick revenge fantasy being used as an excuse for violence for gorefans. I try not to learn my history from movies but this kind of distorted shit is just beyond belief. Even Goebbels couldn't have come up with what looks like a propaganda film to boost morale.
If this had been a sci-fi movie then one could have made some allowances but this just looks like Kill Bill in a WW2 setting. Brad Pitt's accent was so jarring I think the only reason they did it is because someone involved with the movie comes from that part of the US. The bar scene which should/could have been a very tense affair was just interminably long because of the weak dialogue and silly game. And I like the long dialogue scenes in Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.

Yes really! I'm sorry baseball-bat head-bashings, scalpings, mutilations, finger-in-bullethole torture does nothing to you but it qualifies as gore for me. You don't feel much because it was the 'damn Nazis' on the recieving end and they probably had it coming right? Try this little experiment if you will. Imagine all those acts but with the nazis as the culprits rather than the victims and see how that makes you feel.

You hardly see anything at the bat kill and if you think this was gorey, you must have missed out on..all actual gore films to make that statement. Even Kill Bill was much worse.
