Does anyone here know anything about this? I've installed OpenSSH on my Windows 2000 server and can connect to it fine from my other workstations using PuTTY, but only if the user is a member of an administrative level group in Active Directory. Any standard user just gets "Access Denied" when logging into the console.

I presumed I would just need to put the users who need access into a special group and give it access to the OpenSSH folder on the server but this doesn't seem to be the case. Is there another directory somewhere they will need access to?

Because I need to have a Windows server for work. I want to switch my FTP over to an SSH connection as standard FTP is a bit too vulnerable for my liking. I do have a Linux box but it's not set up as a server and doesn't have enough storage space to hold the the files I need to access anyway.

No offence, but can people stop posting if they can't help with my question. I know the alternatives and have already decided which way to go. I just need some advice on the task at hand Wink

I'm not after a remote desktop session and I'm not switching my server over to Linux either. I would just like an alternative public file server to FTP because it's unsecure and from what I know of *nix systems SSH is the best way to go.
