I just saw a box with this game at my local Target while I were buying Monster Inc and Up on Blu Ray. I asked the employee if I could buy a copy of the game and he said no, I have to wait until 11/15.

Ermm i'm really enjoying this one, I think it's nice and challenging (more so than on the DS), and I really like the new twists they've added, such as windy levels etc.

HOWEVER, the more I play it, the more I realise JUST HOW DAMNED GOOD MARIO GALAXY WAS. I mean, this is good, this is old school, this is classic mario. However, i've been spoilt with Galaxy - and this certainly doesn't compare.

This is a game I can play for maybe 30 minutes before thinking I need a break. Good for a time killer, but not as captivating or fun to play as Galaxy.

That said, Galaxy was near perfect in my eyes Smile

Either way, a mario game is a mario game, you gotta love it!

(am yet to try the MP as you cannot play online and i don't have friends IRL ... well, they're all washing their hair).

It's up now...just go to binsearch.info and search by filename. It's on the terminal group. Enjoy!

pretty much

Had to do a crash course on wii modding cause besides soldering a modchip a year or 2 ago I haven't messed with my wii much.

I have an old wiid modchip and I had to softmod

installed homebrew channel, install cIOS v.15, patch the game dvd with a modified main.dol, then used Neogamma R8 beta 7 to load games off dvd (or usb drive)

all in all it was worth the hour I spent doing this stuff. fun game!

mine loaded fine too, after first level it froze though before I could get to 2nd level should I wait on anothe release?? or do I have to install homebrew stuff?? I thought w/a mod chip I didnt need to install anything extra?? all other games work okay. Is this some sort of protection? or just poor release?

For game freezing problems, i'm running mine using usb loader gx ver.8xx as well. No problems with it at all.

you cant just run this directly if you have a modchip. you have to run via neogamma from HBC. Those of you asking questions really should bother to read this whole thread.

It seems like there is still no way to get this running through a burned DVD using only a softmod method.

I got it working using USB. I created my own scrubbed patched NTSC version and loaded it with Neogamma 8 Beta 11 using a 1 gig USB drive. Used WBFS manager 3.0.1 to get the scrubbed ISO version to fit into a 1 gig USB drive. Works perfect.

It plays exactly like the DS version. This game is ridiculously easy though. Before I got to the first midway point castle, I already had like 25 lives. Why cant Nintendo just bring back the tough Mario levels where one died like 20 times because it was so difficult. They make these games so babies can beat it.

I'm not finding it that easy.. certain parts are, but other parts are really difficult and i die alot.

I think you need to challenge yourself with this one. If you run through the level, then yes, it's easy. But collecting the blue / red / gold coins is often very challenging and something that keeps killing me!

  Platform      -  Nintendo DS

  Supplier      -  mediafire

 <----[Release Notes]-------------------------------------->

This is a small fix for the new protection nintendo added.
it was quite easy to make with ImageDiff and allows you to
fix the protection. basically it's the same as the
main.dol replacememt method that has been floating around
with a much easier to apply method of patching.

Keep all console releases original and make patch fixes!
newer methods of loading games will eventually make this
  fix not needed.

Thanks so much to QwiiF for the great release!

If you like the game, BUY it!

 <----[Greetings]------------------------------------------->

  Everyone in the scene

especially the robots in LocalNet who dont follow the Wii
scene at all and nuked QwiiF like complete idiots!

The old release works just fine with the Neogamma R8 loader.
Didn't try out the new release...

yeh this is all old news. There is no way to play this game conventionally at the moment, you still need to use neogamma etc.

I am hoping wiikey people release an update for it which counters all this bullshit. That said, I don't think wiikey.cn team have released any updates in years...

this sucks I cant get this game to work, my wii crashed during the update on the nsmb disc, I applied IND fix. still nothing. Is there a way to try to reapply the update? I am wondering if retail ver would even work on my wii now. I have a modchipped wii,. If I patch the game with IND, I get error as soon as I put the disc in my wii, if I dont patch it, I can load the game and it will error out after first level.

Don't do the update from the disc.
Start the game with Neogamma R8 over the Homebrewchannel instead.

Using the iND patched disc, i let it update. I was at 4.1u b/4 updating and the wii is still at 4.1u after updating....don't really know what it updated but anyways, it's working so far from disc channel...haven't tried loader yet.
