Yeah I'm aware, either he'll see my point of view or he gets it. Very Happy

Anyway, figured it out, you can indeed change party members in restricted zones, just need to enable console

\DragonAge\bin_ship\daorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole

Then press ~ in-game and type 'runscript selectparty'.

Ended the game, finally. Took me 72h and 2 minutes. I do a lot of backtracking but it's still pretty impressive. All in all, the game is a true masterpiece. I loved every minute and the story gave me quite a surprise at parts. I didn't expect so much maturity from it, to be honest, and so many hard and ugly themes and stories. And the ending... damn. I suppose there's actually quite a lot of them, endings i mean, but the one i got was really impressive. In short, that's how it's done. That's how it's supposed to be done. Those words could fit for the ending and for whole game too, actually.

Definite GOTY for me, unless of course some Sleeper hits later. You never know Smile .

i've finally beaten this game. it reported i logged 39:22:53. i pretty much speed run through it. the game is excellent. i actually spent time going through the different conversation options just to hear the voice actors. they did a fantastic job on voicing the characters.

anyway, i'm already 10:05:01 into my 2nd playthrough. i'm using human/female/human noble/rogue this time. my first playthrough i used elf/female/magi/mage. it's interesting they start you off with a different story based on your background.

anyway, one of the best rpg i've played so far this year. Very Happy

Do locked chests/locked rooms always have garbage in them ? Granted i don't think i'm very far into the game but so far i pretty much only found junk. I'm expecting a little more than a pair of scale armor gloves or an iron ring from a chest that needed 3pts in the unlocking skill and at least 18 cunning Laughing

Most of them, loot seems fairly static though but the really good stuff is usually not in a locked container.
(You can find some decent gear in some of them like runes or materials or even gifts but it's rare to find more than a bunch of misc lower-end items.)

Ofcourse just because the Juggernaut armor (To use a example.) isn't locked away doesn't mean it isn't hard to get.

Wow I had no idea you could do that. I just kept removing less useful skills from the bar when I got new ones :-)

thanks

playing my rogue i have found that using two daggers, and with momentum turned on i hit really fast. with haste turned on i hit really fast. but with both haste and momentum turned on i hit slow. looks like a huge bug to me, and right now seems like i wasted a talent point on wynne.

Sten, with a good two-handed weapon, can do massive damage. He will trake alot of hits though. Since I'm a shield + sword character myself, I chose Sten. At later levels a shield cahracter really pays off, so go for Alistair if you are a two-hander yourself. Alistair's templar abilities might be usefull too.

Where do I get the Berserker spec?

Got ahold of the sword Starfang after some traveling, also found a little secret that revealed the blade called "Ageless" albeit I haven't tested it yet but it's pretty powerful. Very Happy
(Beats most other weapons I've found so far, including other oddities like the meteor sword.)

(Kinda funny how the Chasind Great-Maul - Not to be confused with the normal Chasind Maul - is worth over ten times as much as either of these blades.)

(Also gives a nice stamina bonus.)

EDIT: Another bunch of official mods.

They don't just "appear" mate. You have to take the quests first, then you get the map markers.

1st. Make camp, you'll see a guy named Dryden there. Talk to him, that starts the Warden's Keep quest.
2nd. Walk round the world map, mainly in the eastern area, and you'll eventually bump into a vendor that gives you a control rod. That starts the Stone Prisoner quest.

To get any of that, you have to have at least passed the Lothering part of the story.

you always have sulcher's pass (stone prisoner) even if you don't have the DLC, and for Warden's Keep you have to talk to the guy in your camp to get the location on the map.
So no new locations will show up for you just because you installed the DLC. Did you consider that?

-edit

hehe, looks like mr. 'dragon age dlc piracy support representative' sabin was faster.

Well maybe because the Maul kicks both swords asses by far

(insane Armor Penetration, 1.25 str. modifier etc etc.) That Maul is pure awesomeness

No, not him .. just keep exploring, you'll find the one I'm talking about. You need to head to Sucher Pass, which is - apparently - near Redcliff.

If it worked, they WILL appear in your journal even if you haven't left Lothering and been to camp. They show up under "premium content".

The Warden's Keep guy's name is Levi Dryden I believe. He'll have an exclamation mark over his head (not the dwarves).
