I don't know if this is unusual or not, but here goes:
GFs 360 had a LiteOn in it originally. There were no hacks for the LiteOn when she bought it (preflashed), so the place she bought it from used a spoofed Samsung.
Now her samsung is giving up, giving Open Tray errors all the time.
So i thought since i have a RROD box lying around, with an old Hitachi 47DJ drive, flashed with Xtreme-something (old, from 2006), i thought I could use it in her 360.
Now, im so lost when it comes to spoofing - when iX 1.6 came out, i reflashed her Samsung from 1.51 to 1.6. So i have a file named SAM-OFW.bin. Im thinking that the drive key must be in that file, correct? So i need to spoof the Hitachi drive with the key from SAM-OFW, and then flash the Hitachi with iX 1.51. Yes or no? 
But i still need to know to basically do it. Anyone helpful?

yes you just need your key from the sammy to insert in the hitachi ix 1.51 and to spoof the hitachi ix firmware as a liteon. yes the key will be in the sam_ofw.bin file. id use jungleflasher, its easy to load in the sammy firmware as source and the hitachi as the destination. just one click to copy the key over and spoof it.

how'd that turn out for you sin? i have a box that had a hitachi in it that i had someone put a samsung in it and he spoofed the firmware. when i reflashed it to 1.61 sat luckily i wrote the key down (was just using dosflash in, you guess it, dos). when i opened the OFW bin file in firmware toolbox it gave me some jibberish for the key.
i'm guessing because the firmware was spoofed but i dont know why. don't really know why you have to spoof it in the first place because after that i just flashed the samsung firmware to it and it works fine.
