It's weird, since moving into my current apartment I've not remembered a single dream (almost a month) very rare for me. Perhaps new surroundings effects ones dreams.

Or maybe you live next door to some psionic vampire that feeds off of your dreams and life force, and you're slowly withering away without you even realizing it, hmm?

I read something about a guy who never remembered his dreams and just didn't think of it. Turned out he had had a slow growing brain tumor for over 20 years and then he died.

But what does it mean that the tooth I lost was a wisdom tooth? More specifically the one that I already had removed a couple of years back? |
well, my last dream that all my teeth fell out and I was bleeding like crazy from my mouth until i passed out!

I thought that dreaming of losing your teeth was related to financial stressors?

I'm 99% sure the teeth-falling-out dreams are related to worrying about personal looks.

you guys are in the company of Freud if you try to explain dreams
but yeah often dreams are related to fear
i guess t4e's explanation is the best
in general: dreams occur during the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) phase of your sleep
it helps the brain to get rid of emotional distress
while asleep the brains does not function optimally so that is why dreams are often bizarre
my worst dreaming experience:
happened like 16 years ago, i had this recurring dream that i was fighting a monster
i could not kill or scratch it yet it kept attacking me until i woke up completely bathing in sweat
the shape of this monster varied, sometimes it was Abyssal one (from AD&D) sometimes it was more like a T-rex
it took about a week for me to realise that i was fighting myself
that is why i could not defeat it
after that the dream did not come back
now you can interpret this that there is a monster inside of me
but i interpret it that i was afraid that i had a monster lurking in me

I haven't had that one in like 15-yrs And I would like to have that experience again. You are falling, and can't do anything about it and then you wake up and can't move for a minute or two... Gosh I miss them...
Altho I would like to have lucid dream about flying... I tried to have intentional lucid dreams, but it required some practising, and so I got bored and stopped trying after second night

I assume you've seen the excellent movie Waking Life? |
Hmmm I haven't but from what I read on IMDB it seems as a good one
I remember when I was a kid, I would go to sleep, and had one of those falling dreams, and would wake up in my parents bed It was freaky experience.
I also had these weird nightmares that I was really small compared to the room, and I don't know why it would really terrify me.
Anyways, I had that experience trying deep relaxation and this music from some program (I forgot the name), and I remembered how it used to freak me out, but I was aware that that's not real, and got to enjoy the feeling.
Also when I was trying that deep relaxation thing, I got (not all the time) this weird out of body feeling. Like I was hovering. And I remember being able to do that some yrs ago, right when I was falling to sleep, but I totally freaked out, I thought I was dying.
But when I did that with relaxation thing, I endured the fear of "dying", and went along... Men that was really great feeling. It's experiences like these that really tickle my imagination...
