CRT is the PRO choice.
Not that big of a difference between CRT and fast LCD's thou. But thats what ive heard from a CS-nerd friend..
If its true or not, whatever.

a proper good quality CRT monitor is much better than an LCD for cad etc

lcd's run at 60 hz and CS pro's want to run @ 100 fps with vsync on.

they make 120hz LCD's they arent all 60hz
plus I much prefer LCD for autocad and solidworks.
now for photoshop and such a CRT unless you have one of the good LCD's that the view angle color shift is negated. otherwise even looking right on with a cheap LCD the top and bottom are color shifted from the middle slightly.

Actually they play on 640x480 so they can get 120Hz, and also they never enable v-sync, because (according to them) they can use "data" from the broken frame.  |
