Yeah, maybe The nubcakes I met just got up, mumbled "mmhhhmm uuuhhhhmhh" and you can talk with them as if nothing happened. Now that's an island I want to get stuck in!

Naaah, I wait until people are not around (only the owner) and get inside the room/house. He says something like "I'm watching you!" and then steal something. He yells "Thief!!1one" and I put him to sleep. He wakes up and gives me a quest.

Wow.... four weeks? Not exactly prompt is it? From all indications, this game is effectively unplayable for some due to poor gamma levels.

I started the game three times (Russian clone, X360, English clone) and two times the chick never followed me and there were no cutscenes involving her ('don't go into the cave', 'search the house' etc). I was running around alone and she stayed at the beach. Still when you meet the first guy the hero says she's waiting at the hut.
Must be a weird multiplatform bug.
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

Nice find, that link.
Damn lighting is way messed up in 360 version, and it just looks like a blurry mess with LOD distance of 2 meters. Now I know why everyone wants brightness options for 360 version.

Yeah it's the same with eating the food... One can only guess at the devs' reasoning, but imo they made it so that the player has to either decide whether he wants to spend the time repeatedly clicking away or just quaffing a potion quickly. Instant full health refills from any barrel of water would've been a tad silly.
|
What do you expect? It's pretty standard for an RPG to have health items that only heal a limited amount, it's simply a choice between healing what is necessary or waiting until you can reach a bed/barrel.
Fallout 3 had exactly the same mechanic when it came to drinking water.
The gamma is fubar in the 360 version, apart from that the graphics are okay. I'm probably going to play through it on the PC in the mean time. When the patch comes out I'll play though it again on the 360. That article says 'within 4 weeks' so lets hope that means it'll be less then the full month.

For those actually playing the game:
Does anyone know where can I find the Don's heirloom?
I've searched every picture in his place but couldn't find any switch...

Spoiler: | On the first floor, there's a room with a "throne" in it. In that room, there is a picture of a tree on the wall. Walk up to it and keep clicking it, while changing your camera angle. |

Thank you dezz, that did it!
Now though, I have a problem with another quest. Namely the one named "Where are the artifacts disappearing to?".
I've talked to everyone at the brothel but can't find what I should do next.
Can anyone help?

^ Forget about that, I figured it out.
Graphics and some gameplay mechanics aside, I really like this game!
If you ask me, should happen to like Gothic 1 and 2 this will certainly appeal to you.
