Ok so i am about to uppgrade my system and i need some tips.
I am switching from Amd to Intel and need some advice regarding overclocking especially regarding motherboard and memory, as what features should i look for on the motherboard regarding overclocking and memory speeds etc. I'm gonna go for a core 2 duo for now but i need a future proof motherboard with support for quad.

Also suggestions on cheap but good motherboards are very welcome
and processors too.

i'm not into Overclockin coz i'm afraid my mobo n CPU will BURN...

as for MoBo's get the latest ASUS P5Q (i think) boards with both Duo/Quad support.

as for CPU get the Intel Core2Duo E8400@3Ghz

Have fun

If you want it cheaper go for the e6300 "wolfdale" - overclocks *great* has vt and is much cheaper.

get some good DDR2 1000 Ram (or faster).
And get a decent cooler (Mugen2 f.e.)

good gaming performance for now - easy upgrade later; just switch the cpu and you are set.

edit: you won`t need such fast ram now - but its still cheap and you don`t have to replace it later.
