Might contains a minor spoiler about the start of the game.
Spoiler: |
There's a lot of replayability as well, game always unfolds in the same way but the way from the start to the end of the story will differ a lot depending on your choices such as even something like helping Sanna or letting her lie there.
(Naturally guilds and profession within them will also differ in what skills and stuff you have available and how the initial part of the game plays out.)
|
EDIT: Finished comparing, Strings.pak uploaded previously is 3 MB and contains at least English, French and German, unsure about Italian and Spanish (Untested, most likely not as it's about one MB for each language.) and the audio file for the Avenged release is 860 MB compared to 550 or so MB for the X360 rip version or 600 MB for the German version, movie file is also 50 MB instead of 30

About gaining access to Harbor Town:
Spoiler: | I used the back entrance to buy myself in (tho the front door sequence was great, wasn't expecting that!) - how soon can you come and go from the city as you please? I basically didn't get to do much outside, so if it's a lengthy period of time in the city, I'll just go back to exploring and leveling a bit before entering.
Also, do the swamp guys have any magic training at all, or is it exclusive to the mages in the Monastery?
|
Gotta say I'm loving this game more and more - was wandering around in the night, and saw two shapes. "Huh, must be some stones from some old ruins" and passed them by without thinking. Actually tho they were two of those birds, sleeping.
They were pretty pissed that I woke them up so I had to leg it.
All the little touches and details are just great! Hopefully the story will prove to be equally well done.

Mister_s wrote: | Letting your escort kill the enemy when you couldn't was the smartest thing in Gothic 2. And it was a great design decision tbh, that's why you have escorts. In most RPG's you team up with someone, yet you still do all the work AND save the guy. Useless. |
Spoiler: |
Without the whole squad of bandits backing me up, I would never have finished that first assault against the White Robes at the excavation site! Seriously, I'm still struggling to properly fend off multiple opponents - so I would have gotten reamed by them without my squad.
|
Luring enemies into NPC companions is a fantastic way of surviving - and as long as you get hits in, you still gain EXP too!

please post this in all other threads too. because i know you care about people supporting good games in general and not just those that you like. plus there's nowhere near enough preaching on these boards and, as we know, everybody loves it. thank you!

Lhzr has been trolling a lot lately, unfortunately there's no way to properly sum up all the posts, only the one that is the proverbial last drop.
And the ban is already over, just for a couple of hours.

So, those of you who have played past bandit's camp already, is it okay to invest all the money into training, or should I train only when I feel I'm underpowered?

I've been putting my money into training combat skills (essential!) and Strength (I fight with melee weapons)
Just make sure you buy the Worker Clothes. They're DAMNED expensive, but absolutely fragging essential!

I generally only train when I need a skill or it starts to get challenging. Atm I'm level 8 and I have 20 SP.

If you're talking about "Anyone found the second part of Soul Drinker sword yet?" You're the fucking retard since you'll just stumble upon it without reading the spoiler, had no idea it would be there nor is there a quest for it as far as I know.
If not I have no idea what you're talking about.

anyone know how to get past this part? gotta help this guy in harbor town with the weapon salesman
Spoiler: | I need to get into his basement and steal a sword from his chest, I got his key and I can lockpick the door to the basement but when I go down there they instantly notice even though it's night. Maybe I need the sneaking skill? |
