Quote:
What if you were shown a glimpse of your future, but didn't like what you saw? How hard would you fight and what would you sacrifice to keep it from coming true? When an unexplained, cataclysmic event knocks out the entire population of the world at the exact same moment, for two minutes and 17 seconds, everyone will see a glimpse of their own future. Then they will wake up to chaos. From his flash forward, LA FBI Agent Mark Benford is able to piece together the 'when' April 29, 2010, but he's desperate to figure out the 'why' and stop what's coming because it's a future he doesn't want to see. In the future, Mark's beloved wife has left him for the father of one of her patients. He's started drinking again, his loyal partner's been murdered and masked operatives are hunting him down. Before long, everyone starts asking themselves and each other, "What did you see?" As Mark and his team struggle to figure out what caused this bizarre event and wonder will it happen again, the only thing they have to go on is a huge mosaic of people's flash forwards.

I knew creator was familiar to me: Brannon Braga - from ST:Voyager and ST:TGN, who knows sounds interesting...

Here's the imdb link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1441135/

EDIT: I saw that people compare it to Lost :\ I just hope it won't be some kind of "Lost sequel" ...

I liked the pilot, but I'm afraid it will turn into some kind of drama like it happened with Jericho. That started very mysteriously and then turned into a crappy "post apocalyptic" drama with bums fighting over food.

Pilot was OK. Not great but not bad either.

I like the premise and plot of the show but my complain would be the acting. The actors seems very robotic and i don't know....they just lack something. Granted it was only the first episode and some of the cast have yet to make their debut (that gay hobbit from LOTR ect) so i'll give them a chance even though i don't expect miracles.

It was said that this was the new Lost but i can already say that it's not based on the first episode. It look more like a B version of Lost and i doubt that character development will be as good as in Lost.

Thanks for reminding me! Smile Wasn't impressed by the first episode that much, but if Joseph Fiennes signed up for it, it must become better later on (or he just desperately needed the money Laughing).

Nice thinking.

I liked the first episode, so am looking forward (Rolling Eyes) to watching the second... my only issue with it so far is the presence of Lost characters and Lost insignia, when in fact the show has nothing to do with Lost. It's hard not to think about Lost when watching certain characters or events (like the bird on the window amongst other things).... and apparently 'Charlie' from Lost is going to be a season regular... nnargh.

Didn't see much to do with Lost... But yeah, I think Fiennes is a respectable actor (both Fiennes brothers are), so I doubt he'll do crap just for the money, but you never know, there is a financial crisis after all, and it has hit Hollywood as well. Wink

Well there was the actress Penny, the fact her kid is called Charlie in both this show and Lost, there was that billboard in the background of one scene advertising Oceanic flights. There was also the way that guy tried to commit suicide but the coincidental time lapse meant he ended waking up (anew) laying on his back (a la Jack et al... in Lost). Indeed the connections between characters and the coincidences could be considered thematically linked as well... but I'm grasping Very Happy

Either way I think it's safe to say this won't be garbage on the basis of the pilot.

Well, it was safe to say Lost wouldn't be garbage judging by its pilot...

It was also safe to say Heroes wouldn't be garbage judging by its pilot...

Lost was awesome in its first season though, and although Heroes descended into shite it was always a bit crap if enjoyable. Reading back my comment it looks like I'm saying it's a sure fire hit, but I responding to what you said about Fiennes just doing crap for money. From the basis of the pilot it looks well acted, shot, and written. Whether it all pans out into something worth watching over the long haul is anybodies guess.

The first couple of episodes of Heroes were excellent. Very stylized and it certainly takes itself serious but none the less. It's utter crap now, though indeed.

Yeah, even if it is good for a few episodes only, no harm done, we enjoyed it. Very Happy Lost was good for the first two seasons, but then something happened. Heroes for me was only good for the first few episodes; then it was just moments that were good (usually the Hiro stuff in S1), but episodes were bad most of the time. If we get a few good episodes here - I see nothing but gain. The more the merrier, of course. Smile

Second episode was quite good I'm not sure about the plot or the plot holes but it's keeping me interested and entertained for the time being so it can't be bad. The skit with the FBI boss was funny if overplayed though Laughing

Pretty weak pilot. The writing was crap and so generic. Going to watch 2 more eps that I have ready and then find out if I'm gonna bother D:
