Mod related stuff, packing, unpacking and someone got a tool called the reconstructor working in singleplayer, still haven't checked out what's doable but I will soon.

WIKI

(All from the official forums mod section.)

EDIT: Re-packed version of the above mods.

EDIT: Working the table files now, should be possible to unlock some stuff via it.

EDIT: Unlocked all hammers.
EDIT: Same for characters and badges.

EDIT: Can't seem to easily replace the hammer / gold hammer without "breaking" something, funny but useless.

Just FYI, REPLiCORE's "solution" to the speed bug does indeed work. The cheat engine is free of malware and does what it claims, making the game playable until the devs get their heads out of their asses and patch it.

It's not the ideal solution granted, but it's better than having to wait a few more months or go through the hassle of dual booting.

Agreed, I am grateful to REPLiCORE's fix,was getting really tired of dual booting to Vista to play this. Thanks dude It work's great. Really enjoying gaming at the moment with great games such as this,Batman AA and NFS S. Smile
Oh and thanks for modding and unlockable features JBeckman. As some of us South African people say "Shot China" (which means thanks man) Smile

How do you install the reconstructor mod? The readme doesn't help much.

Edit: Just checked out the forums and got a much better explanation.

The "EDIT: Re-packed version of the above mods. " edit contained a link to the files pre-packed with the modified data in them, but I noticed that the weapon wasn't correctly textured so I might have missed something, user for some reason also packed the table files into the misc files (The names of those archives.) so one would need to rename the table pack file or it won't show up as a available upgrade.

Pretty cool weapon but limited for larger objects as it needs to recharge.
(Ofcourse me testing it with the memorial bridge didn't help much either, haha.)

Solved my problem with the massive slowdowns during destruction of large buildings by setting the priority to low on Task Manager. The game rarely drops below 30 FPS with a C2D 2,4 ghz, 8800GT and WinXP and the Particles set to Very High.

Lol, then make a batch file with this command :
start /low rfg.exe

to avoid the task manager.

Yeah and a "town" of Parker as well, but they're so pathetic and small that they don't really qualify.

why would setting the game to low in priority make it run faster during destruction of buildings? You'd think you'd want it higher o,0

Has anyone figured out the slow loading issue? When I load the first level, the loading bar runs for a couple secs then stops and does a little but more every 30 secs or so. Leave PC for 5 mins and level still not loading.

well annoying!

just tried it and it's no different than normal speed.

and what the bloody hell is up with their stupid idea of fucking 5.1? Finally found how to enable it in windows 7 and I got my headphoens on then all I get is a fucking WOOOSH of destruction to my ears.

All their idea of surround sound is fucking WIND.

But I know what you mean. Though after I had a Radeon (I think it was oooold 9800, back then it was new) and when I had to (literally) change drivers everytime I wanted to play a different game I said "screw it", sold the card on ebay for 90 bucks and got myself a GeForce. Been Nvidia buyer only since then.

I had 9800 as well and never had to change my drivers for different game. Good lying attempt on NVIDIA behalf though. Do they pay you $1 per post?

i tried today something...i tried to play on windowed mode 800X600....all max part=low
and it was running great even when buildings collapsed....then i changed back to full screen 12034X1024 and it stayed pretty much the same good performance when buildings get destroyed....weird stuff i tell ya...

12034X1024!? You must have very powerful PC. Game doesn't allow resolution change during gameplay. All you get is maximized window at 800x600. That's why your frame rate is the same.

This "low priority" indeed does work, tested it out, i get like30-40fps on very heavy destruction now, when big building starts collapse i dont get any slowdowns, before it was like 15fps ...

yup, just tried it out on a big building and there indeed is less slowdown
getting 18-20fps on heavy destruction now compared to 9-11 before

ok just tried the little test with low priority, run it in bat file direct to rfg exe and without ambient occlusion on its running fine i dont get any slowdown with large explosions no more, the only time i see slowdown seems to be oddly enough when im changing out weapon types...

this is all running with max details (without what i said above though) and x4 AA ..

Doesn't make any difference whatsoever. Tried with normal and low priority on the same exact building destruction, same fps on both occasions.

fixed,,

maybe its a ati/physx crap situation again glottis... its most strange but a game on low priority working better than on normal lol, well it works on this machine for me like that, so no bloody idea what the devs are upto with that game..

I didnt really do it to test fps either as i didnt, as fps was always fine so far for me with this game,, what it fixed for me is any mass damage falling with exlposions does not now slow up the pc...

I can Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Just tried it, set rfg.exe to "Low Priority" works FANTASTICALLY! Doesn't drop lower than 20 now, during heavy building demolishing, and menu stutter/lag has gone too.
