Yeah it sucks that people no matter what their parents earn get the same education and healthcare as everyone else.
But of course, it's better to live in #47 on the Human Development Index - far down below countries such as Bahrain (#33) and Portugal (#34) [Sweden is #7. You're not even on the list for average income per citizen, Sweden has an average GDP per capita of $37,245 ... Poland is at $13,799 (just above Botswana).
But hey! At least you got one of the highest unemployment rates in Europe which leads to a lot of Polaks moving to Sweden to work. I'm sure they hate the fact that we got Europe's cheapest health-care and free education (including University education) for their children. ^_^

Check the word "socialism" dude. There was already a thread about the government turning people into mindless robots by forcing to wear seatbelts, take their kids (for their good, so they can be raped in some social kid shelter) or "fight" the "financial crisis" (yeah, right) with money! Even the US have tried to help banks by giving them money 
Anyway - that's what i meant. Sweden wasn't enslaved for over 100 years (including commie bastards from the east) so please just STFU if you'll just write dumb things like that. Also i rather meant the law and forcing people to do stuff (do you know how much you pay for speeding in Sweden and Norway?) because the system is trying to "normalize" and make people "equal" (just like the fucking reds).
Oh and you are a fucking MORON if you believe in "free" whatever - health-care, education etc. You pay money in taxes so that the money can go for "free" hospitals, schools, whatever but what you dont realize is that the money also goes a long way and the amount gets thinner to pay all the people who reroute it to the proper institution. So, thanks but im healthy and i dont want to be FORCED to give money to the goverment so that i can wait a year to get my knee fixed f.e. Id rather save that money and go to a private doctor and do it in a few days.
You, sir, are a fail.
PS. The chicks are much better in Sweden, that's for sure. Still, fuck their government.

Always fun to learn about my country, which I've lived in (and pretty much despise myself) from a Polak who likely never set his foot here, and obviously is so uninformed on the subject that he has to make things up to even show the semblance of an argument. Are you trying to convince me that you don't pay taxes in Poland? Please. Your corporate taxes are about 7% lower than ours, individual taxes in Poland are between 18-32% (Sweden the average individual tax is around 30%) and our Payroll tax is 32.5% (Poland has 41.1% payroll tax). Your VAT is 22% compared to our 25%. So tell me, how is it that you have pretty much the same taxes but still not even the semblance of our safety nets? You really shouldn't have picked Sweden as an example to argue AGAINST politics (nor Swedish socialism). It's a moronic choice. Go back to school and learn about hard facts, boy.

You pay taxes the same as I do, and there are private doctors in Sweden as well (guss what! They're fully legal!), plus our doctors are some of the best in the world. Please, go on and attack Swedish healthcare some more. I dare you (haha).

Hey, Dominae, no need to be insulting Polish people by saying "Polak"(funny thing is, it actually is a proper name for someone from Poland in Polish language, but is considered a racial slurr in English ). I for one admire Sweden for remaining (more or less) neutral throughout the wars, but the point made by wawzrul is kind of true.
You still compare Poland and Sweden in terms of taxes and politics, but what you don't acknowledge is that Poland has been free for just 20 years. That, plus we fought in many, MANY, wars, including our pilots in battle of Britain. Poland was also the 2nd country in the world(right after the States) to have its own constitution. We were also the fiirst country to oppose Germany and Hitler, and even though we had a treaty signed with France and Britain, they turned against us. Who knows what would've happened if they attacked Germany like they were suoposed to?
That said, you can't easily compare Sweden and Poland. Poland has been enslaved for very long, and therefore didn't have a chance to develop.
Even though my country has a lot of disadvantages (stupid politics, "catholicism"[Yes, I write it in "" because most of the Christians in Poland are fucking hypocrites], quarrels between politicians, problems with health care...), I am still proud of it. We had a great history, we opposed our enemy, we helped the Jews back in WW2 (and now we're accused of killing them in concentration camps by Germans, wtf), and in 17th century Poland&Lithuania was the biggest and most powerful country in Europe:  Spoiler: | |
. Even Napoleon couldn't do what we have done- we were the first and last to ever conquer Russia (granted, only for 3 years, but still).

Well I guess it's the same thing as "nigger". If a black man tells another black man he's a nigger, it's acceptable(more or less). But if a white man says that...
So if a guy from Poland says "Polak" to another Pole it's not a problem, but if for ex. an American does that, it's considered a racial slurr.
To be honest, I find that kind of stupid and confusing, but hey, welcome to English language political correctness.

I'm disgusted with how the Swedish government decided to turn our backs to our neighbour countries, politically. The noble families in Sweden during WWII supported nazism (and Hitler) and some of them still do today (especially the older generation). They used to carry a lot more weight in politics back then too (mostly monetarily), much of the upper society lived in this illusion that what Hitler was doing was sanctioned by German aristocracy (and therefore legitimate). Hitler did have support from many prussian nobles that wanted to see something less embarrassing than WWI.
I'm glad my grandparents decided to fight in WWII, my grandfather and his brothers on the side of the Fins during the finnish Winter War (granted, against the russians). Sweden's neutral stance is an insult to me. But I suppose it has had some good side-effects, there basically is no patriotism in Sweden among those with at least half a brain (we don't really celebrate our national day).
As for the 'Polak', yes. I am aware that it can be used in a derogatory fashion. And I probably meant it as such. But racial? No, never. I don't dislike anyone for just their country of origin - I dislike them for their behavior.

Listen, the original argument doesn't take any account into Polish government, I didn't really intend on slinging against Poland. He was talking about how Swedish socialism is shit, while clearly knowing nothing about it.

Listen, I have nothing against Poland. But when someone comes out and decides to criticise Sweden (which has a lot to be criticised) they should at least use facts, and not random drivel about Swedish socialism which can't be compared to the eastern state communism. Why that comparison even is made is beyond me.
Also... Poland conquered Russia? Huh? My history is hazy, but as I recall you conquered parts of Russia (something which has been done by Sweden as well).
