Saves are like 1.6 MB each so you should be fine. Smile
(I'd guess he had a primary save he tried to save over, it saved part of it but ran out of space, unsure about autosave but in general it's a good idea to keep at least two standard save slots.)

On Vista they're in a \Save\ folder located in the "C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Divinity 2" folder, there's also a profile folder with some of the options plus a file for your achievements and general settings but they're in the .dv2 format (Not the pack dv2 format though.) so I don't know how to edit those.

On XP the folder path would be \Documents and Settings\ instead of \Users\ and instead of \Appdata\ it would be \Application Data\ and without the \local\ folder. Smile

The quest "Down the Hatch" seems to be bugged. It's impossible to complete it.
Is there any way to bypass the bug?

Mentioned previously, you can complete it but in a certain order you'll end up botching it and you can't complete it if that happens (Which is a shame as there's a nice reward and a cool chest to loot - pictured one or two pages back actually.), fixed in the next update.

Running out of space on a partition due to a save is rediculous lol, what you booting with on C: 10gb ? lulz.....

I was downloading batman arkham asylum at the same time, and while usualy, all my downloads are stored automaticaly to the bigger partition, this one was being put to C:, where I have windows installed. I have no idea why, and it ate up the 2 Gb of free space, so when I tried to save the game, there was no place to save it.

I did it this way and it worked just fine.

Bit lengthy but that's more or less exactly how I completed it, learned that it was bugged afterwards but I haven't found the exact way to bug it yet.
(Replaying the game and moving slowly as I'll start over once 1.02 is out to get all the fixes and improvements so I won't reach the area anytime soon.)

I can't remember if he had the book on him or if it was on that platform he stands on but those "loot bags" remain forever so you can always return if you didn't collect everything.

And you can check the quest log for that bounty mission to see whom you are missing. Smile

EDIT: You are missing the

You didn't kill him near the edge of that platform did you? that loot bag can glide a bit due to current physics implementation so unfortunately it might be in the lava and unreachable.
(It's scripted to cause massive damage and kill you near instantly, try going down when transformed and check for that little particle effect from it, might have landed on a rock or something that can be reached with a decent landing when un-transforming.)

1. Get the unpacker http://www.sendspace.com/file/cu6bqm
2. Copy the unpacker to the gamedir\data\win32\packed and drag Dialogs.dv2 to it.
3. After it has unpacked "Sounds" and "Win32" folders,go to sounds\soundbanks\Win32 and rename German to English(US).
4. Get this http://www.123renamer.com/download.htm so that you don't have to rename everything by hand. Start the program and go to Win32\Characters\Dialogs and just replace everything that has German to English(US).
5. Then use the packer http://www.sendspace.com/file/x8uyez
6. Take the newly modified "Sounds" and "Win32" that you unpacked to C:\ (I did it this way) and create a new folder for them...for example c:\new and add them to that folder.
7. Then copy the packer to c:\ and start the command prompt(cmd) and add the line like this "dv2_pak.exe -a New\ Dialogs.dv2"
8. After that's done,copy the new Dialogs.Dv2 to gamedir\data\win32\packed replacing the original.
9. Start regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\[KEYHERE](for me it was Wow6432NODE)\Larian Studios\Divinity2 and change "Language" to English(US)
10. Done. Very Happy

Hope I got everything correct. Smile

Edit. Sauronich got me to it...well it took a while to write. Sad

For anyone not being able to get the game to run :
Burn it with Alcohol 120% with RMPS enabled.

Then install+run it on any system with DT (no yasu or other tools needed) by enabling the RMPS emulation option.

As for the graphics, AA doesn't appear to work.
This is why the game looks "ugly" on lowres screens.
I'm running it 1920x1080 and it looks awesome.
You might want to try fiddling with the settings (disable HDR , forcing AA) to see if it helps.
I suspect this will be fixed as the AA setting itself is included in the menu.

(oh and Im using a nvidia 8800GT, so ati cards aren't the only ones where AA isn't working).

Oh, and forgot to add that the game is fckin awesome.

Just been offline a month, man I got so much to catch up with.

I hope once I get the files I can get it to work on XP with the upper, if it does kudos to you guys! Very Happy

And kudos to Beckman anyway, long reading fan on many of your game-help-and-fixes Razz.

EDIT: Oh right, I've been trying for some time now to unlock the games console but it seems disabled via the engine code so I can't do much about it, it's defined via the action_map.xml file inside the MainDataStub.dv2 file and if it had been enabled the key would be "TOGGLE_CONSOLE KEY_F11 KEY_LCONTROL+KEY_0" which means the left ctrl key plus num 0 and F11 but as I said above it's disabled.

If you then open Divinity2.exe via hex editor and search for "god" two times you'll be in the middle of all console commands available, bit many for me to type out though they are plain text so opening the EXE in notepad might show most of them, be sure not to save the file though as the special characters and such won't work outside a hex editor or similar and will damage the file.

Finally beat it. Was very nice to play till the late mid game. But when you mostly needed to fly around destroying the fortresses etc it got a bit boring. And the ending really sucks. I hate those open endings !

So far I've never had a problem with managing the items, barely break 100 usually... No point saving unused weapons/armor after all, and you can dump all the non-quest books and misc. stuff (forks etc.) as well.
