EVGA Geforce GTX 295 Fallout 3 lags

Got a brand new computer with this cards, all other games are fine but fallout 3 at max lags every few seconds. Any ideas?

Also, the box said 1790mb but everest says 890mb - wtf?

you could always exchange your card with my 8800GT 512GDDR3, runs fallout 3 all smooth.

I just dont get it, i get insane fps through out the game but theres an annoying 1-sec lag every 20-30 sec.

Fallout 3 is a windows live game right?

I had they exact same problem with Kane & Lynch... Never got it fixed thou Sad

Well it might be something else completly, dunno...

Here, I got this screen shot after many trys:



This is what happens when I move around quickly. The game will freeze for a quick second and the graphics will draw like this and then everything will be back to normal at very high fps.

You have 890 MB or so for each GPU to use (1700 something total.) but data is mirrored across both cores so you have 890 MB of video memory available. Smile
(Same with any SLI/Crossfire configuration.)
