Yes its my first REAL job. I did work before but basically I wouldn't consider it a real job. I just used to buy broken xboxes and then repair them and sell them. Wasn't very reliable.
But yea this job is kinda cool. I just started on Thursday and the manager had me sit down at a computer and go through some training program for like 2 hours and then he put me on the floor. I was so overwhelmed at first. Training was from 6am to 1pm and I had it Thursday, Friday and Saturday. So this coming Saturday will officially be my first day of work. I dont deal with any customers though I just stand next to the person who takes orders and then I just make the drink. I dont even know how money registers work lol.
But I was very overwhelmed at first because of the milk/skim milk/creme, sugar/liquid sugar, all the flavor combinations. And the espresso machine which is so annoying because whenever somebody orders a Latte or a cappuccino, I would have to first get the milk in a pot and then heat/steam the milk and if there wasn't enough milk in the pot to fill the entire cup order, i would have to repeat the whole milk heating process again. But I got past all that lol now I can actually do it right and fast. (I just put a shitload of milk in the pot whenever somebody orders a latte )

You'll be excited for a couple weeks. Give it a month and like any 9-5 you're gonna get sick of it.

Thank you pistolshrimp. Only 3 days have passed and so far Im liking it. The manager is a total jerk though. There is this one other guy there he is like 18 years old and Im 22 and the manager always acts mean with just us two. Everybody else there is like over 30 years old. He was telling me if he catches me talking to the other guy he will send one of us home.
Even when there was no customers, he just comes up to me and asks me why am I not doing anything. Apparently Im supposed to keep myself busy. On Saturday it was really dumb he was like "why arent you memorizing the names of the donuts? theres no customers. Memorize the names of the donuts" which is ridiculous because I dont even take the donut orders lol but besides the manager its a pretty cool job. I get free coffee since I get to make it myself

Another interesting thing I learned is frozen cappuccinos have no espresso in it. Its basically just a cappuccino flavored coolata which I thought at first was kinda strange lol also it has no foam in it since its cold
My FAVORITE order is when people order coffee with milk and sugar or iced coffee with milk and sugar. Some of the more longer orders takes me some time to get used to. Especially when they say something like "french vanilla iced coffee light with skim milk and 4 splendas with little less ice" or "hot coffee dark with creme and slightly sweet with sweet & low". Lol I dont KNOW what slightly sweet means. Slightly sweet to me could mean something completely different. But about 90% of the orders I got correctly.
I remmeber this 1 lady who wanted a light hot coffee with a little bit of skim milk........ This was one of the dumbest requests I had because skim milk barely makes coffee light. I need to put in regular milk to properly make coffe light and so it was either going to have a LOAD of skim milk in there or it was going to be dark. She came back saying the coffee with slightly bitter. So I dumped half of her coffee out and filled it with skim milk and she liked it.
Basically it was a cup of 60% skim milk and 40% coffee
EDIT: actually more like 50/50. But still thats a crap load of skim milk lol

Id rather drink Starbucks honestly. I never tried hot coffee at Starbucks but their frappuccinos own all. I still haven't tasted any coffee drink that tastes better than a frappuccino lol
And I listen everything the manager tells me. Whenever he yells at me to do something I do it immediately without any question. Maybe he will realize one day that he is just being mean lol. & when there aren't any customers, I always clean the counters where I spilled coffee or milk or something. After cleaning the counters and brewing the coffee and everything, I get nervous because theres nothing much else I can do. I cant take out the trash because theres a guy for that and he has to go all the back in the back of the store to throw the trash out. There is a guy for everything almost.
And about the bra in every size lol I do the same with shirts and pants. I always get like 3 or 4 pairs of the same pants in different size and goto the fitting room to try them all on and see which one fits best
