Watchmen
9/10
I really liked it. Won't be for everyone. But, I really really enjoyed it a lot.
My mother liked it... but I think that may have had more to do with the blue dick.

Dolan's Cadillac
5/10
Kept me interested. Wasn't the greatest thing I have ever seen. Wasn't the worst either.
Ok if you don't have much else to watch or do.

yes. It is a pretty good flick.

You have to really watch the beginning though.

Kinda like Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. Least, that's the type of movie it reminded me of.

Boring as fucking sin (too predictable). I saw it once when it came out and watched it again last week (on one of the movie chans) and its on again tomorrow or this weekend...boring.

my opinion tho. I think the name alone is fucking dumb....its supposed to be clever but its not imo.

Yeah that film tries way too hard to be clever, and fails utterly because of it, it comes across as contrived. Lock, Stock and Snatch it aint!

Although Time would probably enjoy it because he tends to do that in life, i.e. tries so hard that he over compensates.

The Unborn - 6/10

This movie was really really boring lol. The plot was lame and the scares are minimal. I watched about 70% of it and had to stop it because I was falling asleep. And usually it doesnt take much for me to find a movie entertaining but jeeze this movie is just really freakin boring Laughing Maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it but it bored the crap out of me. I might give it another shot in a few days.

Watchmen 8.5/10

I don't even know where to start about this one.. Loved the overall style of it, the comical yet dark and gritty mood. Very comic-book style, yet it's not overdone and never feels unnatural, despite it's almost over the top theme, with the characters looks and all. I liked the editing too, cutting between the past and present, yet you never got lost or anything.

Lovely effects, and i loved the fight scenes. Liked how they showed violent and gritty things, such as bones and arms breaking, like that alley scene.

Really liked most of the characters, mostly Rorschach and the Comedian. Dr. Manhattan was also cool, even though i found just a tad bit uninspired as a character, being able to almost anything. But i still liked him and thought he was cool, the lack of expressed feelings actually worked fine.

All in all the storyline was good, sure there was the almost mandatory obvious things, like the Night Owl and Silk Spectre II-thing.

It's also a good sign that you like a movie when you don't want it to end Smile

That's done to give you some insight into how Dr Manhattan perceives time. Notice it's especially evident when he talks about his past, he talks as if he is there. Very Happy

You're probably one of the only individuals who recognised the significance of that, well done!

The part where he talked about how he became Dr. Manhattan was especially good in that sense, it almost became like a micro-movie inside Watchmen, it really fleshed out Manhattan as a character too. Wich of course was necessary, he would've been pretty thin as a character otherwise Razz But I liked the way they did it anyway.

Another good example - the way Rorschach as a kid is introduced early on in the movie, then how they come back the same scene when he is shown the ink spots, just that it's almost right after the first scene ended. Loved it!

I meant it TRIES to be LIKE Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. I didn't say it was as good as it.
I have seen far worse than Lucky Number Slevin. It isn't the best movie out there but I think it is worth a watch. If I had to rate it, I would give it about a 6/10.

I loved Lucky Number Slevin Smile the acting is not what you're used to, but it's kind of refreshing. Lucy Liu is very cute and Ben Kingsley and Morgan Freeman were very good too. I give it a 8.5/10

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - 9/10 , great flick , towards the end it kinda lost its momentum but still , kicked ass , great performances and story

and to think .. they gave Michael Jackson one helluva (undiserved) goodbye and they didnt even do half for Paul Newman , i guess that's a good thing

I saw Brüno last night...

Well I won't rate it, I think it's not rateable. It's not horrific, actually had some funny scenes, but not as good as Borat. The thing is that most of the stuff, and the funny ones, they put in trailer which is kind lame, but hey, they got to attract the people to watch it, right?

There are moments in which you re pretty much shocked with the imagery, and this is definitely 18+ movie, since it's pretty explicit.

There are times when you think he's just mocking the gays, and there are times when you see he is mocking the stupidity of others and bigotry for the most part.

All in all not terrible but not über great Very Happy

Oh, yeah, hats off to Cohen, he really put an effort with German, he talks it really well (even if he only memorized the text)...
