The trailer for this July's Sacha Baron Cohen film "Bruno" is out. His gay Austrian fashion reporter takes the same offensive reality path as Borat did three years ago, only with more nudity, dildos, and at least for now, an NC-17.
watched it yesterday. good film, but short and far from what i expected. it's simply borat with the main guy swapped out, nothing like the ali g-->borat evolution.
what is this evolution that you speak of? because i found ali g funnier than borat. (talking about the movies here, 'cause the series was cool with all three)
maybe "evolution" is the wrong word. the ali g movie was funny, but borat almost made me shit my pants while laughing. so i naturally expected something even more extreme - which it certainly didn't turn out to be.
"Ali G in da House" was very childish while Borat was very satirical. When I watched Borat in the cinema i was surprised how much "depth" it had.
Brümo is great as well, I'd rate is as good as Borat, but the share the same structure. Depending which of them you see first, the second one won't feel as fresh.
I thought Borat was better, but then this kind of movie has worn off since Borat came out.
Brüno was fun, and it was hilarious to see people react like that, only because someone is gay (or acts gay ). But I thought that this movie had even more "fake" scenes than Borat.
With fake I mean scenes that don't depend on other people getting owned by themselves, but where you just have the main actors and they make it look like it's real life.
But some are still funny, like the scenes with his friend Diesel

Absolutely i also think the same... even borat was so 2006, i still it was funnier...
