so, i wanted to go to a cinema for : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2015381/ (Guardians of the Galaxy)
i could not find a cinema which dint had 3d. all freaking cinema's run only movies in 3d, no matter if the movies actually look good in 3d.
personally i canot see 3d movies, i have glaucoma, color blind, and i have some 3d depth issues aswell. those movies give me severly headache.
fuck them.
now waiting for the iso demo.
but some movies i really wanted to see them on a huge screen, with a bit more advance sound system.

Yeah, I don't like this trend either. No visual problems here, but still find 2D more watchable.
As a matter of fact, I went to see GotG today too, of all local cinemas only one had 2d projection, and it was at 15:30 afternoon, all later projections are 3d only Sad

I'm glad this town keeps offering both versions. I'm not into 3D that much (most movies aren't great in it) and if it doesn't enhance much I'm not willing to sit with uncomfy glasses on my snout

3d tends to give me a headache, some 3d movies are ok, most are not.

Exceptions for me are avatar are recently guardians of the galaxy.

Not giving you the option to choose sucks..especially if it's something as "personal" as 3D. I have the opposite problem, I'd like to watch something at the cinema in 3D but the abysmal (mandatory) dubbing puts me off completely and forces me to yarr pretty much everything these days on my oldass tiny Sammy monitor. Bah, second world problems!

wouldn't mind if it would be the same price like the 2d version but here they want +4 euros just for 3d. overlength +2 euros and so on ... not far away from those 20 euros for each person.
go for it and lose ur last customers loveley cinemas.
it's not like u do money with those over priced drinks and snacks. 6 euros for small nachos with cheese sauce and 4 euros for 0.75 liter coke.

thank god most movies aren't worth watching in cinemas anyway and yes i'm a cheap ass

Only 3D I liked was an astronomy documentary where it worked really well... as for movies, I'd choose the regular version always...

The only problem I have with 3D is that the framerate is so low in each eye that you can see the stuttering.

The frame rate is actually the same with 2D (24p)
And 24p either stutters or is unsharp in motion any mixture of that and depends on the source and the display device. With 3D the first seems to prevail for you. Also depends heavily on the person. I loath 24p for anything and everything.

3D movies are the fucking worse. They even charge extra for the sometimes here Evil or Very Mad
Really don't see the appeal of it all. It looks bad, and gives me nausea.

I don't like 3D since the movies always look darker with the glasses.

And you have to pay much more for it compared to a 2D movie in the cinema. In our country it costs 3 euros more (the Netherlands)

2D: 9 euro
3D: 12 euro

Then you must go to some shitty cinema (pathe?) It's 8.50 at Euroscoop, 7.50 even on Monday's. No difference in price between 2D and 3D.
