They should put some emphasis behind the word 'challenge' and make people sit in ice bathtubs for 15 minutes
Every video I have seen is of douchebags trying to look or sound cool while they get ice tipped on them for a few seconds.
Isn't there a term for people who do acts of charity just to be noticed rather than for the act itself? I can't remember it so I'll just refer to them as assholes.
Ice bucket challenge doesn't seem so bad compared to other retarded things.
Then again, as a child, I started my summer days by pouring bucket of well water over my head.
Is this the retarded bullshit that's running on facebook with the nominations and buckets? What a crock of shit. Like all the other #twittercauses and the @facebookretards, useless and bullshit.
Seems sadistic to me to follow thru with when challenged vs just donating and moving on.
For example say someone picked the charity of cancer research..and called someone out to do it or donate.
Im waiting for someone to film it, but glare cold eyed into the camera, slowly dump the water on themselves and pause for effect and say "Fuck YO CANCER! I keep my money" and walk off screen.
Isnt that what it is saying really? Fuck donating to you guys, Im going to film myself showing what I had to do so I didn't have to donate instead.

Wasn't there a video of some black kid dying after that shit?
well haven't heard about that but in germany died someone from this.
it's called cold water challenge there but i asume it's the same lke ice bucket challenge??
mostly done by local small town fire departments... normaly they drink themself every weekend in a coma. now they kill themself with facebook challenges.
If it results in more people donating money, would you consider the stupidity about buckets of water good or bad?
Is it helping? The likes of Gates and Cook already donate. Has it made a change?
Viral videos are rampant, and dudes like Dana White, BJ Penn, Ronda Rousey, and Loreno Ferttita III have been donating at least in part because of these videos. So yeah.
That's my issue. Sure, some people might have donated that otherwise wouldn't have. But my question is, is it en masse? If only some "celebs" donated, that's not really that impressive, because they usually donate anyway. And having some many people fill the facebooks with "I nominate" blabla and these stupid videos, has it really added a significant donation fund that would not have been added had it been an article in news papers? Going viral does not mean any achievement. I have personally asked several of these people why they didn't donate also, but just nominated and threw water on themselves. They either did not answer, or made the most silliest of excuses - "Uhm I did my part, I nominated people".
