Tales of Xillia is the upcoming 13th mothership title in the Tales series, exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Its characteristic genre name is RPG of Unwavering Convictions RPG, Yuruginaki shinnen no RPG. The game will be released in Japan in 2011 and will feature a theme song sung by Ayumi Hamasaki, with cutscenes being produced by Ufotable, the team behind the Tales of Symphonia OVA series rather than Production I.G, which has worked on previous games in the series.
Great news! Now we can move on to waiting for a Tales of Xillia 2 release date!
I recently enjoyed Tales of Graces f quite a bit and that seems to be one of the lesser tales games from what I heard.. can't imagine how much I'll love this apparently vastly superior game
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.
...unlike most of the other Tales of games, Xillia doesn't have a world map (or overworld) but instead it's similar to how you move from one place to another in Graces.
maybe it's not that bad. sometimes world maps feel weird and out of place, it's like you play a different game when in world map. so i don't see this is a negative, if everything else is much improved.
having trouble finding poranges :S Didn't find anyone at the porange trees, but i had one porange which i didn't know where i got it from. Seeing as i have, well had 2 quests which requires 1 each i need 1 more.
my fav tales games are vesperia and abyss.
this one looks great so far after the first hour, the typical tales cheese is there but luckily
not as extremely prominent as in graces (that game was a bit too much).
I'm wondering if this is how japanese people speak to each others or if this is just something they put in their animes/games. Sometimes it's so corny and horrible that i want to turn off, other times it's a bit funny. Never really funny, just a bit at times. To me it seems like they misunderstand each others all the time or respond completely different to spoken dialogue than i would expect. I can't explain it, it's just weird.
And does all tales games include pedo dialogue? I find it a bit disturbing seeing an old man and a man in his 30's or something interested in marrying a tiny girl with a purple pet in her hands. And also random comments and sentences.
yea thats what most japanese rpgs are like nowadays, back in the golden age of the jrpg during the 90s we didnt have this kind of excessive cheese and pedo-stuff but actual characters and storylines. i never play tales games for their story or characters, theyre just something i have to put up with, its more about the gameplay/combat, which are great.
Vesperia was my favorite as well, I've heard good things about Xillia though.
Copying stuff to my ps3 takes aeons, I'll play it tomorrow.
hmz? game is tiny (by ps3 standards) and at 12MB/s it takes no time at all to transfer to internal.
10 minutes is a long time when you're ready to hit the sack
But I did install it yesterday anyway
I HATE english dubs on JRPGs though, it just doesn't fit no matter how well voiced.
Guess I'll have to live with it, again.
Jude's vocie appears to be the least annoying so I started with him.
Only played a few minutes but it started off well enough
Can't wait to get home and see more.
.... i so fucking hate them.
is it possible to at least change the subtitles to other languages on europe?
i'm italian but i want to play it on eng subtitles.
lol this is pretty hilarious. i bet if game was voiced in English originally, people unknowingly would still be asking for "original" Japanese voices, like it happened with Killer is Dead. few people were like "zomg English dub sucks need Jap one". "oh there never was one? oops."
