|
 |
So tell me, what's the most precious / the most valuable thing/data on your HD?
To me:
# My pictures, I got about a gigabyte of pictures, which is for some people
a lot and for others almost nothing.
Anyways, they consist of a couple of birthday-parties, a few LAN-parties, a few BBQs... you know the drill
And somehow, I always watch the "whole" collection everyday, just to put
a smile on my face
Strange, not so long ago I lost a 100gb of new movies... and a day later
I didnt care anymore. Those were just "movies"...
# second of all My music I got about 35 gb of mp3s: from
hardstyle to metal to rnb to techno... I got most of the mainstream stuff
I just love it!... Same as in #1, for some a lot of music, for some almost nothing
But one thing is for sure, can't live without my music + Im too lazy
to burn my music, so a Hd-crash would be the end of me :/
share your thoughts

def my pics and videos ive made. basically things no one else has.
my music comes in second because i just have so much, nothing i cant re-rip though, it would just be a hassle.
everything else is disposable.

One text document i have with stuff like email addresses, FTPs etc. Things like pictures and coursework i also take care of. Things i take pride in though are my complete TV collections , these are about the only things i keep during reformats
edit: o i forgot some rare movies i have or one's that i like a lot also my Bottom live shows and some other live comedies like chris rock and eddie murphy
edit: shit forgot to mention some of my MP3 collections i did lose them once and weren't that hard to reclaim at the time but now i'm not so sure. Mut... i got the South park collection too and family guy, band of brothers, Joey and robot chicken

I would say my music and pictures. Mainly because I can't be bothered to back them up and I have too much to backup

To me it's
1. All the text I've written (essays, stories, etc.)
2. Pictures (photos and photoshop-work)
3. Music collection (I have a lot of stuff that were really, really hard to find)
The reason why I haven't backed it up yet, is because there's no reliable enough media.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

My roommate deleted all my tracks for our next album.
All protools sessions=gone.
They were moved to be archived, he accidently killed the entire directory before I got it burned to DVD.
Now, the pictures of me and my girlfriend (that aren't on dvd yet) are the most precious things on my hd.

Pictures, without a doubt... Some wonderul memories in there.
I buy almost all of my music, and rip it personally onto my HD, so it wouldn't be a total loss to lose the music on here.

I'd say pictures too. Ohh ... and after being in uni for so long, I have volumes of papers and stuff that I don't have hard copies for anymore. I guess music could be replaced, but it would be a pain in the ass.
