We have received official confirmation that Vivendi Universal Games will ship a PC version of the first-person shooter The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, already a hit with both gamers and critics on the Xbox.

I liked it for Xbox, hopefully the graphics will be even better for the PC

oh please. the game was made because the company loves video games and wanted to make a good one. it's pure fucking quality, not just graphics but with the whole system. storyline, integration of fighting, everything.

The controls should be fine. It's a FPS. I loved this game. The only complaint about the game would be that it was too short. I beat it in a day. But still I loved it. It's my 2nd favorite game of the year so far.

A perfectly fine, fun multiplayer directx9 game with minor framerate issues for resolution whores and AA freaks, i couldn't agree more Surprised

Halo had some crashing issues as well, which I experienced on my Ti4600 and then on my 9800 Pro. It wasn't THAT bad of a multiplayer game, but yes, it had low FPS.

This should be better, and it has some pretty GFX.

I had a 440 mx when halo came out (yeah sadly I didn't want to buy a new card just yet) and I had no problems. Sure I had low fps at times, most of the time so I toned down the resolution and reduced some of the glorious visual aspects of the game that many fell in love with, but the game was playable Neutral and that's all that mattered for me. I never played the xbox version so I didn't expect much. But I loved it Neutral beaten it and then deleted it hehe

shit, the biggest problem of halo for example, was that it was, like you said, outdated, not the emulation of the port or someshit. just old. you can't judge the developers for a bad convertion to pc, onlty in that they was late. very late. that's all. wtf can go wrong controling a fps for fuck sake? mouse look, a w s d, mouse scroll and two/three/four buttons. damn, all you do is plain shooting. that's what is so great about fps's. the kill. anyway.

Let's hope they will put the attention and ressources necessary. Halo totally blow BTW, 2/3 of the game running thru the same repeated rooms, same textures and ennemies all the way, this was a nice 3-4 levels demo (extended 3 times using copy paste!), running like shit even on the best PC's.

i aint watched the film yet my version aint perfect quality and im a xvid watcher Smile anyway this game looks pretty cool although on the VU forum ppl said there were save problems and bugs where i went white :-S. about halo it was never that good on the xbox really, some nice visuals at the time but that was it. gameplay was very linear and boring. textures rarely changed the enviroment wasnt effected or anything. by the time it came out on the pc i was sick of hearing about it, it did play better though but all FPS games do. the low fps wasnt too bad either as long as it didnt lag i wasnt too fussed

Sublime im with you. I never saw what was so special about halo. It was a game released early for the Xbox, thats what made it popular, and all the people who don't know what constitutes a good game loved it.

halo was actually 'OKAY' after the mouselag tweak appeared, with that tweak it was actually pretty playable.
and about old textures, blah, whatever, i prefer a good, fun game above graphics any day. hell i still play theme hospital from time to time.

looking forward to this tho, friend has it on xbox & it was pretty decent.
