It turns out I tried it before, but didn't know the name. The taste was the same, awful imo...

Kalles kaviar. Razz
(They have this commercial about it where it's offered to foreign people and they absolutely hate it, strange commercial really.)

EDIT: I do like licorice though, whether sweet or salt.
(Never tried drinking it however.)

You should try pure licorice instead from Ixis home country.

Taste differs of course, but I taste every licorice that pass my way (in Denmark thats a lot), and thats my number one choice. (I even had a licorice thread here once, where people shook there head at me Smile ).

Its kinda funny that lakris piper is basically illegal in Norway Laughing
Its treated the same way as tobacco... and here tobacco has to be hidden behind the counter. Its one of our strange laws that is about to be changed most likely... but FFS, just because it looks like a tobacco pipe doesn't mean you will start smoking Laughing
Ate lots of them when I was 10-11 years old, and im a non smoker.

I like certain kinds of liquorice but the Finns are extreme. They love not only strong salt liquorice, they go even further and love candy made from Ammonium Chloride which is like super-salty super-strong liquorice with chemical burn (it's known as Salmiak in Sweden and Salmiakki in Finland and is vile).

I don't know why but the last 12-24 months there's been some kind of liquorice revolution in the rest of the Scandinavian and Nordic countries where they put salty liquorice in everything from candy, ice cream, drinks etc. to milk chocolate.... No idea how this trend started and who wants big pieces of SALTY liquorice in their milk chocolate. There's liquorice in everything nowadays.

I love the hard candies made of sweet and spicy liquorice with a spicy salty powder inside called "Turkisk Peppar" (Turkish Pepper) and the kind of sweet liquorice in English Allsorts etc.

Beyond that I'll stick to stuff that does actually taste sweet, creamy (toffee, hard or soft) and various chocolate (from milk chocolate to 86% dark chocolate, the latter which is actually healthy to eat) when I eat sweets.

I love liquorice. I love salmiak bonbons. I love the chillie ones, the salty ones (well, more like I can tolerate them) and so on.

But take all that danish, english, nordic whatever liquorice and dump it in the sea, because that stuff tastes like chewy diarrhea.
