So, I gotta get rid of our car soon. I made a video & a website with some information and pictures.

Video:

(Thanks Sabin for showing me the website with the copyright free music!)

Website with pictures and details:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/97541577/Golf%205/index.html

I'm not making it public yet. We don't even know how much we should ask for. The car is fine and has lots of new parts (like the breaks, gears/transmissions & etc.)

It has lots of extra stuff in it like the "plus" soundsystem with 10 speakers, winter package, fog lights & etc.

maybe 7000 EUR - 8000 EUR ? :/

I was looking at the prices here in Italy (Quattroruote.it) and the same model (Comfortline) from 2004 is around ~6500€ on average, so with the accessories that you mentioned and new parts that range shouldn't be far off I think Razz
(wait for the experts though! I know nuthin' - except for the fact that I'd buy it asap if only I had ze monies xD)

And yes, the video is mesmerizing Very Happy

Dunno, I think it needs more explosions, and the car didn't even transform at the end, like wtf?

Here a better search. 7.000 seems fair

I wouldn't pay that much for a golf though

Well asking and getting are two different stories. I thought it was a bit pricey and thought that VW's were cheaper in Germany.

And over here even one at almost 150k still goes for 7 grand: http://www.autotrack.nl/tweedehands/volkswagen/golf/11587818

Not the same in every country mate.

Knowing this is Germany though, 7 grand is about as much as you can get Kuro Smile

7k? ok, thanks guys. maybe I'll set the price to like 7449, because I'm sure they will try to go down with the price. then I might be able to sell it for 7k.

Or should I set the price to 7k and then go down a bit with the price (like 100-200 bucks) to like 6800?

I'd advertise for 7500 so you got more wiggle room. When I sold my 206, I put it up for 2500 (listed day-value was 1750), got two guys who both were willing to pay 2250 (my 206 was very well maintained so in great condition for its 12 years of age). Never heard again from either though and eventually traded it in for 2250 just the same.

Yours looks to be quite well maintained too so you should be able to get close to what you ask for it. I'd probably get 9 grand for mine if I sold it now (2.0 FSI Sportline) so around 7 grand sounds about right for a TDI with that mileage in Germany Smile

It depends how fast you need the money really. If you got time, then maybe 7500 € would be great place to start . Later if there is no interest, you can drop the price a bit

You never actually said why are you selling it?
Nevermind us, but the potential buyer might also want to know. Very Happy

That engine is especially looked for, and the general condition and mileage of the car seems very good too.

Price seemed high when I looked at this thread last night. I looked on Autotrader and you can get a newer 1.9 TDI with less mileage for a fair bit cheaper.

You need to compare extras too, what packages are included, rims, tires etc.

Extras can add up to nearly 1/4 of the original car price.

Also cars from VAG group experience a slower price loss with years.

You know, here in germany we drive more safely than anyone else. I'm a 28 year old man who isn't into fucking up his car. Maybe if I was 18 yeah...then maybe Razz

@StrEagle: yea that's it and it has almost every extra that this car can have from VW, including the winter package(pre-heating the car, seat heating), which kept my ass warm all winter Troll Face

If it has all extras, why isn't it Comfortline? The side bars should be in the color of the car..
Yet it has both winter packages..
