A young warrior is attacked from the shadows and deprived of his soul. He sets off to reclaim what is lost amidst the darkness that is spreading throughout the world. The mages could prove to be powerful allies on his quest. To get their help, he needs to find their sanctuary on Taranis, also known as Thunder Isle. Protected by the Guardians, the mages search the mines of Taranis for crystals loaded with magic energy. Will the player join the Guardians to get in contact with the mages? Or will he choose one of the other guilds in Risen 3 – Titan Lords to reach his goals?

oh boy, why do they even bother... i tried it for fun. It looks and runs like total shit. Resolution seems like 640x480 at 15-20 FPS. Thank god the PC version comes out tomorrow.

It looks quite 'good' for being a console version, you can't see further than 20-30m though, same technique like in Risen 2 just on the lowest settings, a mod on Risen 2 changed that for PC, hope it's editable now.
Needless to say, performance is good, haven't experienced any big issues so far, even the fire looks better than a good majority of triple A games on the same system. Will be playing it as long as the PC version is not out, typical Risen feeling, but I also feel a bit of recycling here and there.
It's PB, if you expect a total overhauled game and brilliant technical work opposed to Risen 2 you'll be disappointed. Otherwise, if you at least enjoyed the prior titles, you'll like this.

That's the thing, I only liked parts of the former games. I do however love the Gothic series, even the much-maligned Gothic III.
How much Gothicness would you say is in the game?
Hard to say, not a pro on the Gothic series to be frank. There's varied opinions about it and I can't put my finger on it either.
So far, I like it more than Risen 2. Also depends on how the game spans out and ends, can't say for sure. Not as Gothic as Risen 1 but not as less as Risen 2...what, I hope it makes sense

Yeah I got an idea at least it's better than Risen 2, which in itself is enough to try it out, when there's a chance that I could get a bit of Gothic taste on the console
Ok from most reactions i readed its all about the GFX but now a better question how is the game itself, is it good is it crap or decent or fun etc etc.
A small mini review of how the game is would be nice instead hearing that GFX are crap.
