Haven't played any mobile games for at least a year and a half, but Gameloft games rule the mobile scene. There other talented developers that make great 3D games (for mobile), but can't tell you which (don't remember). This is a good place to start: http://wireless.ign.com/
Why do you hate Sudoko, it's quite nice if you have a lot of spare time to waste. (In which case you're lucky and you shouldn't waste it on Sudoko!). But if you have got a lot of spare time with nothing to do, (lets say you're stuck somewhere with a Sudoko and a pen) then it's fun. Finding numbers, through the minimal pieces of data is nice. Almost like solving a mystery.
but i dont get it? Playing games on a 1cm² screen? It is ok if the lessons are boring, lets play snake for 2 minutes.
But sometimes i see advertisements for Age of Empires or Need for Speed on a cellphone. Euhm, buy a pc? How can you play those games on a cellphone?
for me I ride 10-15 minutes on the subway ... too short to read but perfect for mobile games
however, the spinter cell series (4-5 of them) are the only worthwhile games I've played besides card/gambling games so really just mp3s + metro commuter paper has to do it now
Anything form Gameloft will keep you very well entertained. It's the best mobile game company on the market. Look for:
- Splinter Cell (all of them)
- Prince of Persia (all of them)
- Die Hard 4.0
- King-Kong
- Heroes
- Rainbow Six
- Lost
- Grey's Anatomy
- American Gangster
- Asphalt Urban GT (all of them)
- Assassin's Creed
- God of War
- etc.
Amazing games. Finished all of them. If you have trouble getting them I can help, just holler.

My provider had this option blocked, so I used to run a mobile games server on my PC (with DynDNS)... Fucking providers should not be allowed to change the phones' features!
Jesus, why can't you load the JARs directly into your mobile via BT, USB or card?!
Verizon are hardcore nazi's about shit like this. They want to charge everyone 8 bucks for a game then charge them minutes on the phone as well as data used to download. I only have them because I never get dropped calls and have great reception
nope, anything verizon isn't flashable, hackable (only very small things like ring tones and wallpapers), etc. Ya, they even try locking out custom wallpapers and ringtones, they'd rather you pay for it all.
lol ... how do they compensate you? if you don't like it you leave, that's it.
So true... The problem is every company does it here, so no alternative.
I could have flashed the drive, but there was nomodded Hebrew firmware, and I need that for SMS and stuff. So what I did was setup a server under IIS for the games, no big deal. I used to get games in packs, so I just dropped them in the wwwroot and open the site with the phone. I think I still have it running.
And how do they compensate for that? Cheap calls? Cellphone for free?
people around here use them because they have good call service, I've had them for over two years and have yet to get a single dropped call. Reception is usually always great, prices are just like everyone elses and almost everyone I know is verizon so most of it is "in"
but ya, I'm thinking about leaving due to them trying to find more and more ways to drain the pennies out of their customers. It's like christ guys, you have one of the top networks, more customers than cingular and sprint and your don't think your getting enough money as it is?
