Caleb, a 24 year old coder at the world's largest internet company, wins a competition to spend a week at a private mountain retreat belonging to Nathan, the reclusive CEO of the company. But when Caleb arrives at the remote location he finds that he will have to participate in a strange and fascinating experiment in which he must interact with the world's first true artificial intelligence, housed in the body of a beautiful robot girl.
However, I find it hard to believe, same as Yondaime
Spoiler:
that this so called facility was so, I dunno, unprotected.. In fact I think if such a facility existed it could only be built in places like Area 51 etc lol.
And, yeah, dat fighting scene was kinda strange..

Didn't it fail? The machine didn't seem to have empathy and used the illusion of it to play the young fool so that she could escape her prison?
The film doesn't have action let alone fast paced action..lots of static scenes (background)..8600 Bitrate is just fine. I wonder what bitrate would be if they encoded using crf18. prolly even smaller. The picture is not as sharp as I would prefer it to be but I doubt increasing bitrate would fix this.
Encoding settings could certainly be better though..but , hey, it's scene.
She does not return for Caleb. She has no real empathy.
Her expression at the busy intersection is due to her feeling nothing, when being there. She knows all about colors, but never saw colors herself.
Movie is better than mos modern sci-fis, but doesn't even come close to the good ones of times past.
1) So the Helicopter Pilot came for Caleb but instead Ava was there AND THE PILOT NEVER QUESTIONS WHERE IS THE BOY HE DROPPED OFF A WEEK EARLIER? Nathan would have given specific orders he return yet if he doesn't show at the Heli Pad then no serious red flags? Worse yet..
2) Ava is a robot/android.. they tend to have a limited range of power and this was mentioned in the movie. How far did she think she could run without merely finally being drained? She would need a charge point and that was back at home base but she likely can't fly a helicopter or walk back.
Good movie overall but it wraps up... meh...

Except they'd be exclusively be looking for ONE person who had a set time to get out as I thought Caleb had to be there only a week and that was it. Just seems odd to me but I suppose Nathan had the ultimate decision so the pilots never questioned it.

If she could
Spoiler:
cause power failures just by touching stuff I think it's safe to assume she could find other sources of getting power. ;0
Spoiler:
Indeed.. she also has the power of Google and BlueBook at adapt and possibly overcome by building her own power sources.

Why do you think it was a body double? Alicia Vikander had nude scene before this film and judging by Kronjuvelerna's scenes it was her in ex machina, all right
