Aside from the Termie-Dog I don't think you're supposed to ride the T800's...never mind then.

 Spoiler:

Such a flexible machine!
(Nothing to see here but some grinding gears and nuts & bolts. Razz )

Someone made that, someone else paid for that to be made most likely and someone earned money from that.

No wonder Hasbro and Disney are so aggressive imagine the cashflow they must be missing out on! (Creative works for purposes of parody though there's some non-profit clause in there somewhere and whoops that went right out didn't it.)

(And then there's Aliens but that thing IS a penis and the Predator isn't much better off.)

EDIT: Wonder how Massives Avatar game is going to work out, bit of a take two for Ubisoft on getting that off (Not like that. Razz ) and the Snowdrop engine could do for a interesting little scenic trip on Pandora.
(Here's the map with all the ?'s and your in-game market place for time savers...)

And what other sleeping licenses could do well as video games *outside* of the hands of larger publishers.
(To be fair though Jedi Fallen Order seems to be doing alright at least the first game if nothing else for whatever they would do with a potential sequel.)

Robocop?
(I mean you can't run so that's probably a kill but we would be getting near Crusader No Remaster and No Remake...err yeah. )

Mad Max is probably quite dead after that last game though it had potential.

Punisher would likely just get a T rating for broad appeal or something.

Conan turned into a pseudo-MMO after being a full MMO.

Probably plenty of unique fantasy and sci-fi works that has potential but wouldn't really live up to it with what's popular and sells and is marketed these days, I don't know.

Can't do Cold War or near historical events either because "No Politics" is the new excuse.
(Totally no political messages at all in current games. ~ )

Yeah, they are the second gen plasma weapons you can pick up later in the game. You need your weapon skill at max to be able to use them.

I just finished this. The beginning of the game is a bit mediocre but you can see it was a passion projects for the dev's.
I doubt the game had a huge budget so they worked with what they had.
The final 2 missions gave me goosebumps. Those were really great to play as a Terminator fan.

This was exactly what i needed to get the bad taste of dark fate out of my mouth.
It's a really nice prequel to T1&2. Recommended!

Finished it today also and it was great! A genuine blast and the best Terminator game to date (Bethesda's titles were excellent but they haven't aged well at ALL), with the best story since T2... though admittedly not exactly a high bar to aspire to given the Terminators films we've had Laughing I really enjoyed this and it's amazing how one developer can pull such an epic u-turn from their trash history to this Very Happy

So I grabbed the Hoodlum release and anti-virus went nuts. I did some reading and it appears to be false positive but was wondering if anyone could provide a hash on the setup.exe or some similar affirmations. Thanks.

I grabbed the Fitgirl repack of the Hoodlum release, so I can't give you the hashes of the installer, but the SHA1 hashes of the exe and Steam DLL are:

\Terminator\Binaries\Win64\Terminator-Win64-Shipping.exe
437A19B7F85186E052108227F114FDC45A5877EE

\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Steamworks\Steamv139\Win64\steam_api64.dll
F360FA85799E924DAAC89ED82A6BFDD3A1E8523F

And they both show up clean on Virus Total.

The Hoodlum installer is known to trigger false positives on a number of popular anti-virus softwares, but you're never too careful Smile

Isn't their installer just a stolen and rebadged Codex installer? I know I saw one like that on some release a few months back, but can't remember if it was actually Hoodlum or not.

With the new patch, the game became more like a survival game

Which is good. Play it on hard, i was able to kill the t-800 as if they were nothing. Now it is so hard to stand against them. You can see them through the binoculars but it makes no difference. This is good.

Quote:
Yes, I life the difficulty now as well. Enemies were too weak before. Even the flying drones are scarier now!

Quote:
if you won't hack the turrets or change places frequently while having a ton of medikits and stimulants, you do not stand a chance.

Killing a terminator is not a simple task.

Quote:
I love it! I actually died several times fighting them, and their search patterns got tighter, I am actually managing my inventory for the first time for better crafting and I am actually scavenging ammo for good. It got much scarce and it feels right.

Finally. The game previously was a joke.

...wouldnt say weird, he just likes writing long posts.. There's usually not that much to add after he's done Very Happy The action figure sex scenes were funny, i guess. Anyone know what brand it is? NECA? I'm missing out on that one, but haven't really gone all-in for the Terminator figures (Alien/Predator, Star Wars and LOTR mostly for my nerdy ass...)

Most of his long posts do tend to touch... weird things. No judgement here if you like reading and looking at terminators in lewd positions, vurt Cool Face

That's my opinion as well about the game (which I couldn't finish), even when it opens up it never stops feeling and playing like a low-budget mimicry of an already popamole tripeA production. The atmosphere itself is decent-ish though, and I imagine the chronic lack of titles based on the Terminator franchise coupled with the absence of technical issues/predatory schemes softened the general consensus.

it gets the atmosphere right and the little story is actually interesting. Its low budget of course, but it seems they actually used what money they had to the fullest, most optimal extent.

Mainly the atmosphere though, its exactly like in t1 and 2 when there were scenes from the future. The bluish lens, the t800's patroling. You can tell the people who made it are huge fans of camerons films. It almost feels like a mod made by fans.

I would reserve a recomandation for people who love Terminator 1 and 2 and what to spend some time in that particular timeline from the future
