Was kinda surprised to find a when googling "Ender's Game". People who love SF books will recognise the title as one of Orson Scott Card's books. It is part of a series.
IMDB says 2013 so I will have to be patient. Then again this could become a major fuck-up of course.
Quote:
Deadline reports that Summit Entertainment, the folks who brought us the Twilight films, have acquired the US rights for Ender's Game. Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is set to direct his script.
I loved most of the books but a movie can only portray so much of a story that largely happens inside the minds of people. How are they going to properly portray the internal strife of Ender?
EDIT: Also why the fuck does Ender look so big, he was a little boy most of the time in the station.

Well if they do it as uncompromising and violent as in the book I'm all for watching this when it premieres. But I fear a "popcornization" of it for much higher cash-in
The kid actor will break it or make it Trailer didn't look too bad, but like always it didnt say much.. I've just read the first book, i thought it was good but hardly the best sci-fi i've read.
I dk, I read the book on vacation and I don't see how this could be a good SF movie. As a book it's good since it urges the reader to try and analyse the struggles of Andrew, and as Ragedoctor said, there are lot of internal struggles that you just cannot portray simply in the movie.
Plus it was a good book, but I found Simmons, Herbert and few other to be better, or more interesting would be a better word than Ender's game imo
